Sorry Chaz, but there are gonna be NHL players at the next olympics. Bettman is just saying that he doesn't want it so it can be a concession for him to make in the labor talks.
It's going to be strange. I like NHL hockey and all, but I always enjoy the IIHF style of play during the Olympics.Yeah, you'd think with the 8 years of notice, they would've figured out a way to make the rink bigger.

WOOOOOOOOOO!Yay, Olympics! Half of our staff are now gone to Vancouver and the rest of us get to work 12 hours a day, 7 days a week until they get back.
I have Olympic fever!
Weird, indeed. But I'm sure all of us Canadians know which song it is, and any of us who watched the Superbowl know why I'm so tired of it already. Mostly because I can't get it out of my head"This is a private video. If you have been sent this video, please make sure you accept the sender's friend request."

I never really understood the thought process behind this, Olympics are suppose to be about the best people of every country competing. Now if you exclude every pro person from every single sport I think the quality would drop dramatically.Good! Personally, I'm sick of seeing pro athletes in Olympics. The Olympics hockey teams should be college/ world juniors players.

My Polish friend actually printed that out from the original paper's site and showed it to me the other day, and I didn't even notice pedobear right away.http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Olympics/2010Vancouver/News/2010/02/10/12821236-qmi.html
I am on the floor rolling with laughter right now.
Citius, altius, fortius.
What I don't get is what idiot engineer designed there to be steel poles right at the exit point on the fastest turn on the track! At the least they could have tunneled off that last stretch with glass boards so instead of, you know, plowing into a steel pillar, he would have just skidded along the boards and slowed down. And now there's an Olympics death...

Poor guy basically cannonballed into a steel pole going down the luge run. It looks like he didn't last long at all after taking the hit.

They were held in the same year?I liked it better when the summer and winter were in the same year, and we had to wait four years. It made it more of a big deal for me.
There are just too many things to cover if you do both at the same time.I like hockey, and the x-games sports. Other than that, meh. I don't get pumped for the Olympics anymore.
