New Picture Thread

I'm sorry, but you're kids are taking on both Darth Vader AND Boba Fett at the same time!?

Those are some bad ass kids.

Ha, thanks crone. You should hear my daughter. She makes the sound effect, hits me with it and yells CHOP! I cracked up.

Also, here's one my brother and I whipped up in AfterEffects about 6 years ago. Please ignore the shirt tucked into shorts thing. I did it to simplify the keyframing.

You fight like they did in the original Star Wars.

And Those kind of shorts I tuck my shirt into all the time. It just looks nicer.

Well you are old. Your kind thinks that the waistband doubles as an underwire man-bra.

Those are long jean shorts! Tuck in your shirt and put on a belt and you look fine.

And no, I don't wear knee-high tube socks with them.

(Apology in advance, our digital camera was NOT charged *glares at the sleeping form behind her* so all our pictures were done by cellphone:

So had a nice little mini-vacation to a nearby port town:
Did a bit of shopping:

Scorpion Earrings!

Found a great DragonBall hat with just a picture of Shenron and the japanese spelling for DragonBall. (which sadly I cannot find a picture of online and we didn't take one on the phone)

After shopping, we decided to eat on the bay. Some fantastic seafood was had let me tell you. Coconut Shrimp, Steamed Snow Crab, Peel and Eat Shrimp and some great roast potatoes.

Totally busted making a "fishface" while decideding.

On the way out, I couldn't resist:

Adding to the hat collection!

and a shirt that our waitress was wearing that I just HAD to have.

Finished off the trip with a visit to the local aquarium (where we really didn't take any pictures but got a few souvenir penny's pressed.)

(As you can see, I have quite the hat fetish)

Taken about 2 days previous with another hat I couldn't pass up.

(That was the lowest brightness setting on the phone there is, I'm like, 3 shades darker than that. Buhhhhh)

I swear I'm not stalking you, but is that the aquarium in Corpus? One of my friends has been trying to convince me to visit it, but I don't want to since CC seems like a hellhole to me. BUT I do love good aquariums....

Corpus is not the best place in the world as a "whole" and the beach is pretty pathetic, I will say that even though the Texas State Aquarium is smaller than some of the others across the US, it's definitely worth the visit at least once + a visit to some of the local attractions in the area. It's worth a "day" of your time. Personally for us it was a little over 2hrs a drive so it was far enough away for a "get away" without being too far that we couldn't get back the same night.

The Dolphin Show, the new Bird Show and the exhibits are pretty full with very upclose and personal views. Best part is the Touch a Stingray area, slimy lil beasts but a good experience. Saw they were allowing dolphin experiences too, but at $99 a pop we decided "Nahhhhh."

I spent time at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi. The town as a whole, as Shego says, is a shithole.

But if you have a military uniform and want to go to Barbarubas on Tuesdays (providing they still exist) the chicks there are really aggressive. I swear I got called a ****** because I was trying to learn how to play pool and told some lady that I didn't really want to hang out with her at just that particular moment.

I wish the US would outlaw all dolphin shows.

It's always a little sad when people don't notice jokes playing on their online persona.

Or at least don't play along

I'm more surprised at the notion that there's something in this world he cares about.

That it's actually a clean-shaven, squeeking thing that thinks you're the best if you give it some kipper is less of a surprise...

I care about lots of things. Just because I called you out on your rubenesque physique, doesn't make me a bad person.

I got the joke. Why should I play along to a lame joke? In the words of Jon Stewart, "I'm not your monkey"

Are you talking about my cousin, Mindy the Manx?

Oh wait, Mindy's just got no tail. I'm thinking of my other cousin, Sandy. She's a clever little Sphinx. But you give a kipper and she'll purr and rub your leg like and be all over you like you were Brad Pitt.

I'm not your monkey
Geez. I know that. You're our shark.

If anything Jake's the monkey! Wait..he's a donkey now.

Which is why I propose all dolphin shows be replaced with donkey shows. That'll teach the young 'uns proper!

Don't worry Chaz, dolphins are actually quite smarter than we are, they're all just playing along with the shows to get easy fish. When the Earth is to be demolished they'll be the first to know and leave and they'll thank us for all the fish.

Got up this afternoon and took a pic of the Dragonball Hat:

Can't believe I slept this much though, guess I was more tired from the drive than I thought.

Here is another of me and one of my friends out in NYC this past weekend in one our favorite dives there, on the last of our many megabus saturday drunk trips. Nothing like leaving at 145 pm, getting to town at 7, drinking all night in East Village til bars close at 4 am, and stumbling back to penn station and and climbing back on the bus at 7. Highly recommended. No sleep stupidity and booze is awesome.

And for A Troll, since I am apparently an internet tough guy, here is a sad sad tough guy pic! (Heh, I think it is a hilarious pic, myself. Nothing like blackout drinking!)
