Unfortunately, those convinced that he was neither born in Hawaii nor is a US citizen will not be swayed by further evidence to the contrary.

I am getting a chuckle out of the continued conspiracies of FreeRepublic though. He did exactly what they asked and it's not good enough. Exactly why he shouldn't have done it.

I do have some concerns that he did this too early. It feels like Trump forced his hand which just feels disgusting.

i just saw a video on line where Obama says he was born in Kenya. So i can only assume that one of these is a lie. Based on his books, i would say that this birth certificate is a fake. A video of his speech proclaiming he was born in Kenya, vs a piece of paper and modern technology that can forge anything.

What surprise me (well not really) that people are THAT stupid to believe that a guy, who ran for senator and now is the President. That NO ONE before ever thought about it? never discover it? oh come on!! it would have been all over tabloid when he was a Senator of Chicago saying that he was illegal alien before THEN!

You would think the GOP wouldn't have hired private investigator or use FBI to find out? bleh.

That's always bugged me to Chibi. Especially when you have AZ going of and voting on a bill to check (while overboard) the legality of a presidential candidate to be on their ballot. Surely the entire country doesn't operate on a good faith policy when it comes to our elected officials. That would be as crazy as one of the largest blogging networks storing user passwords as plain text on an unencrypted database...

I'm off to research, and fear my search-fu is going to get tangled in birther sites.

How can any sensible person doubt that their own President isn't an American? Jeez. You need a Birthcertificate (if the application standarts are similar to the ones we have in Germany) to get an Passport,a ID,
Insurance,ect. and in all those years that Obama,lived none of those Agencys asked him once to present that piece of paper? Ofcourse they did! I really dont get those conspiracy nuts.

I don't think it's that they doubt he's an American, it's that they don't want him as their President - so they're going to try and find ways to remove him. Not very different from "Selected not Elected" President Bush and Citizens Arrests on Cheney, for example.

Well... People who are American citizens but born outside of America can still get passports, insurances, ID, etc... I'm not supporting the Birthers by ANY stretch, but just by virtue of having those things, does not prove a birth certificate is an American one, just that one is a citizen. I again stress that none of this means I doubt or ever doubted his American...ness.

And there's a reason that a (half) black man named Barack Hussein Obama is the first president to have this become an issue. I am absolutely certain a large part of this birther stupidity is fueled by good ol' fashioned racism. I'm sure many of the birthers don't care about the birth certificate, they just think he's too "foreign looking" or something.

There it is. They tried to scare people with his middle name during the campaign. They tried to tie him to every dirty Chicago figure in the city. They condemned him because of his (quite nutty) pastor. They tried to claim he was trying to be "more black", as if that would scare people.

They tried. They failed. He's the POTUS, so now they try this. And every media-whore moron with a bad haircut is trying out these idiotic lines.

Me? I'd like to see documented, medical proof that's actually Trump's hair.

There's a difference between being critical and being downright absurd. This birth certificate thing, it's downright absurd. Dislike him all you want for his policies. Even I hate some of the policy stances he's taken.

Sarah Palin, on the other hand, has shown time and again she knows shit about anything. Who the hell quits as Governor just to make money and be a pundit and have a reality show? She was a terrible pick for VP and most of the McCain staffers agreed. It was George Bush all over again, and most of America had enough of that.

Nevermind all that crap, it has been shown time and again that birthers are always wrong when it comes to this issue.

I believe that the birthers are pretty much racist at this point. Has ANY OTHER president (up until now all been white) had this many issues with Birth Certificate? I don't remember any of the president "required" as much as Obama did.
