Okay, fuck you guys. You're not even trying to win anymore. I would bet my life that Lincecum felt there was no chance at winning, so why should he even try?

I'm still a Giants fan. I still love 'em for what they did last year. But goddamn if this isn't the worst offense that I've ever seen.

They had a stat window pop up during the game. Apparently 3 of the 4 least-supported pitchers in the league are from the Giants. That's just wrong. Lincecum, Cain, and Bumgarner should all have at least 15 wins by now. Vogelsong too, even though he wasn't listed. If this team had a real offense to go with these pitchers they would have the best record in the league, hands down.

So, does anyone think AJ Burnett's ERA will have to top 12.00 before they take him out of the rotation?

Do you think he'll do that before they season ends?

no, he'll turn Dr Jeckel again, for one game remind everyone of what they hoped to get with $86 million and then he'll continue sliding. When he's good he's genius, when he's bad he's terrible.

Yeah, he's got this ability to make you think he's going for a no hitter, you go get a beer, and you come back and he's given up 3 or 4 runs.

They had to take him out of a game with a double digit lead.

AJ Burnett is a 50-50 pitcher at best. He has no confidence in his fastball, which makes the rest of his pitches ineffective, and that shitty knuckleball he tries to use is junk - most batters won't even offer because they know it's not a strike.

The sick thing is, if he moved a few inches to the right on the rubber, it might be a nasty pitch, skirting the corner of the plate consistently. As it is, it trails too far inside and no one's fooled.

Bleh. It's over. The season has officially hit rock bottom.

Same day as college football returns, so I guess it's just as well.

i hope the brewers aren't sitting on their hands because they think they are in. a lot can happen in 24 games.

Once again, more than 160 games in a season, and the only ones that are going to matter in the end are the ones against Boston. One more three-game set against the RedSox in September, and you know that's going to be the decider between winning the AL East and taking the Wild Card.

The Giants start a sink-or-swim series with the D-Backs tonight. If they lose the series, it's basically over (the season is on life support as it is). Bochy made a lot of changes and is trying to light a fire, so maybe it will work out. Or the D-Backs will stomp them. One way or the other.

Yeah, I'm hoping the Giants can get it done, but I'm not too optimistic with the way things have been going lately. :(

They just look so lifeless out there, ya know? Like half the team hasn't even been trying over the last month.

And lately is seems that once the other team scores a run or two, our pitchers just give up because they know their offense won't back them up!

Where the hell have THESE Giants been for the last month and a half?! Man, if this becomes the norm we might actually have a chance! :)

Fuckin' Beltran decided to finally earn his keep. Good for him. If he keeps this up it might actually work out.

... and so ends the Giants' season. Barring one of the most ridiculous collapses in baseball history, the D-Backs have this one locked up.

And at least Beltran tried. He's not the worst trade in Giants' history anymore. Hopefully the return of Posey and Freddy Sanchez next year will give the Giants an actual offense. They need it, because this year showed that even one of the best pitching staffs in baseball still needs more than 1-2 runs of support per game. Shocking, I know.

You mean 19. And counting. It's looking more and more like that. Lose 6 games the rest of the way and it's guaranteed.

Listen, I like the Brewers. I really do. If the Giants don't make the playoffs (and they almost certainly won't), the Brewers would be the team I want to see win it all.

But my god, Nyjer Morgan is an asshole. What a fucking punk.

::googles the guy:: Wow, what a tool. I hope someone puts the prick in his place. I'm with ya Tress, he's a punk.

I think it's amazing that the Giants have basically fallen apart so quickly over the last month and a half. They look to be the worst team in the league all of a sudden. So many people are on the DL now. And it seems like only the really important players got hurt this year, with serious injuries no less, while the bastards who can't play for shit are bulletproof.

FTFY. :(

Yeah, no. The Pirates weren't in the middle of defending a championship amidst unfounded claims that they only won because of a fluke. As stupid as it is, now every obnoxious asshole is going to point to the Giants collapse as proof that they shouldn't have won the World Series in 2010.

Yeah, one of my brother's friends, who I am also friends with on Facebook, is a diehard Dodgers fan. So even though his team sucks the most hairy 0f donkey scrotums, I still get to hear that "fluke" shit from him constantly. And losing these last two games against them isn't helping.
