My predictions (fairly obvious) for the postseason:
AL East: Yankees by 1 game
AL Wild Card: Red Sox
AL Central: Tigers
AL West: Rangers
NL East: Phillies (duh)
NL Wild Card: Braves
NL Central: Brewers (bigger duh)
NL West: Diamondbacks
Yankees v Tigers, Yankees beat Tigers 3 games to 2
Red Sox v Rangers, Red Sox beat Rangers 3 games to 1
ALCS: Yankees v Red Sox - this one is too close to call. The Yanks have not done well against the Red Sox all year, though Boston has been looking vulnerable towards the end of this month.
Phillies v Brewers, Phillies win 3 games to 2
Braves vs Diamondbacks, Braves win 3 games to 2.
NLCS: Phillies v Braves, Phillies win 4 games to 2.
World Series: Phillies v Yankees or Red Sox, the series will probably go 7 games either way.
Off-Season: Jorge Posada should probably hang it up, and Mariano Riveira should figure that 2012 will be his last season. Something should be done about Burnett, but the Yankees are contractually locked up in him. He'll show moderate improvement in the early part of 2012, then have a disastrous second half, AS USUAL.
