Hmm, when I typed fucking the dog, which is exactly what I'm doing right now (metaphorically) it gave me some terrifying results I was not expecting (but probably should have).

...

..........

Sooo much... stuff. Normal stuff. Not... demented, deviant, or fetishtastic...

Clear my schedule.

Only 8 posts after all this time? Seems like my goal succeeded and many souls have been lost in the interwebs tonight.

Sorry, was too busy almost shooting a guy to pander to Quebecois. Will R+R later.
When I read this last night, I was very tired, forgot Jay was from Montreal, and I misinterpretted this post. I thought you meant that in order to pander to a Quebecois, you almost shot a guy, and that kept you too busy to check out Jay's link. I was very confused.

Poutine, atleast, PROPER poutine, has no meat in it.
Poutine with meat in it is an anglophone mutation of proper Quebecois poutine.

Ahhh... I was under the impression it had ground beef in it, for some reason... probably explained by the fact I've never been north of NYC

Just fries, cheese curds and brown as fuck thick ass gravy.

The donair shop down the road from my house does a donair poutine which is pretty delicious, they chop up donair meat and onions and mushrooms into it.

Home fries, cheese curds (NOT melted shredded cheese, as some places do), and gravy. Some gravies do have bits of beef in them, though. Real French-Canadian poutine is elegant in its simplicity.
Some poutines do have meat, but thats not the traditional recipe. Its an English-Canadian thing. New York Fries (A Canadian fast food place that specializes in fries, and nobody is really sure how they call themselves New York Fries and still insist on being a "proudly Canadian" business) even has a "Poutine" topped with butter chicken.

Does New York Fries even use cheese curds?

Also, anyone that tries to pass off red wine gravy with fries needs to be beaten to death. Gross.

...I think so? I don't know. Its been a long time since I bothered to try any poutine west of Ottawa.
Back home there was a place that did their poutine with chicken gravy. It was actually pretty good.

Chicken gravy is generally delicious anytime. Sad fact, KFC does a pretty good poutine.

The place back home, I just found out, is actually a franchise. I've never seen any locations elsewhere so I didn't realize. I was talking about Dixie Lee Chicken, which is much like KFC only superior because they also do pretty awesome fish.
