No one took you up on it because it was so obviously true.
Is he or his wife infertile or something? First I've heard of it... and even if they were, why wouldn't they just adopt?Anyone bet that it's his depressing way to have a child that he can't have IRL?
If so...
Also, some hilarious irony, he mentions that he considers Jeff Kalles to be "the bad guy" in the office, "but in a good way". Kalles responds "it's because I make him work hard to meet deadlines". I'm pretty sure that's a double failure.Steve Kuntz said:I made Val that way because I'm such a fan of the plus size girl, but it's making me seem really enlightened.

I don't think they are. He used to mention on podcasts about wanting to have kids someday and intending to. I'm actually not sure why they haven't yet, unless Scott sees how busy that makes the Penny Arcade guys and has had second thoughts. Seeing people with kids has certainly made me rethink my desire to have them.Is he or his wife infertile or something? First I've heard of it... and even if they were, why wouldn't they just adopt?
From my adoption experiences, he's definitely not a good qualifier for adoption. Many moves in the past couple years, a dubious form of employment and the guy is morbidly obese.Still no reason he couldn't adopt. He has a stable marriage, good job, and a huge support network. He's the kind of guy adoption agencies love to hear from.
And getting thinner. So much for big gals! And Val's growing again.
Tomorrow's the reveal that she's Valerie Bronzebottom, by the way, according to his twitter feed. I think we all owe sixpackshaker a round of likes for calling it.And Val's growing again.
I think Scott's gonna pull some "she's only as small as she feels, due to her magical heritage" crap to justify his inconsistent modelling... though I don't really blame him. If Val was always the same size, it would be hard to have both her and Skull's faces in the frame at the same time, due to him being very tall and her being short. And getting thinner. So much for big gals!
That's a problem that can be solved artistically without turning Val into a shapeshifter. For instance, instead of the same 3 camera positions with different speech bubbles, first one shows skull with her lines delivered from a speech bubble pointing off the bottom of the frame... second one is a down angle on her face, with skull's speech bubble pointing off the top, and the last frame could be either or a zoomed-out shot from the rear as they walk away talking or something. Or even a zoomed out shot walking TOWARD the camera.I think Scott's gonna pull some "she's only as small as she feels, due to her magical heritage" crap to justify his inconsistent modelling... though I don't really blame him. That would be this post, for convenience's sake.Tomorrow's the reveal that she's Valerie Bronzebottom, by the way, according to his twitter feed. I think we all owe sixpackshaker a round of likes for calling it.
Seriously. Go back to page 48 and like Sixpackshaker's post.
Yeah, I see people do that when they have normal-sized characters and 8-foot-tall characters. But it looks like a bit more work. That's a problem that can be solved artistically without turning Val into a shapeshifter. And we come to the crux of the problem, I suspect. But it looks like a bit more work.
That is actually the punchline to his joke.Tomorrow's the reveal that she's Valerie Bronzebottom, by the way, according to his twitter feed.
Watch the peter jackson lord of the rings movies to learn how to frame characters like this. Steal from the best.I think Scott's gonna pull some "she's only as small as she feels, due to her magical heritage" crap to justify his inconsistent modelling... though I don't really blame him. She's really enthusiastic about her last name, I guess. Or she would be, if that wasn't actually Scott going, "SEE? SEE? I TIED IT INTO SOMETHING! DOESN'T THAT BLOW YOUR FUCKING MIND!?"That is actually the punchline to his joke.

Binwin was the central character in the short lived sunday PVP comics back in 2009, when Ding! was brought back for like 2 months.Which is an okay reveal, provided:
1) You remember Binwin Bronzebottom from old appearances in PVP Tales by Tavernlight from like 7-10 years ago.
2) You're familiar with Scott's DnD podcasts and videocasts.
3) You didn't call this obviously happening given points 1 and 2.
4) Given points 1-3, you give a shit about any of this.
Yeah those weren't even worth mentioning. That was Scott trying to introduce an outside character into a thrice-rebooted comic property for the first time. I actually think this storyline is better.Binwin was the central character in the short lived sunday PVP comics back in 2009, when Ding! was brought back for like 2 months.
