I bought Portal 2 the other day for like 7€ and I'm enjoying the crap out of it! I had finished one player mode after two days, wich I loved, and the coop is awesome!

Bought a gift mug that would normally be ~$20 total for $7.25. They were offering free shipping (which was $6) if you became a member for free for one year, which then automatically billed you the next year. But you can cancel immediately, so I just saved myself shipping with no repercussions. Then I googled coupon codes for the site, and found a "mugs half off" code, so it went from $14.50 to $7.25.

Down here n Mexico, weather is cool but still lovely. Lots of beautiful girls, bikinis, etc. free food and booze doesn't hurt, especially with 26ers in the room for unlimited use. Going diving tomorrow, swimming with dolphins on Wednesday and mountain climbing on Friday. In the meantime, sleeping in the pool, with a nice martini in hand.
This is going to sound super nerdy but the only thing keeping it from epic is the lack of Internet access. It's not thy I'd sit in the room playing rift all day but being able to download books or movies while lounging poolside or even just to send emails home would be nice. Have never watched a lot of tv so having 30 Spanish channels in the room doesn't titillate.

Minor victory: finally finished writing my grant proposal for my PhD qualifying exam. I am so tired of writing.
For those who don't know, I am trying to finish my PhD in microbiology, so I can go get a job in a cabinet shop someday!
Next, step is to study my brains out, and then let my committee stomp on my ego for 3 hrs during the quals! Yay! If I make it through that, I'll post in the Epic Win thread.

I was taking out my garbage today and someone had thrown away a litterbox. I thought who would throw away a perfectly good litterbox those things are expensive! So I took it. I took garbage from the dumpster. But on the plus side, and thus the victory, is that I now have a second litter box for my two ungrateful cats.

I just got a voicemail from a business I applied at last Friday, asking if I wanted to call tomorrow and discuss the position and meeting for an interview. The job is for a financial customer service rep.
Minor victory for now, since I don't know all the details of the job, obviously, but it feels good to have my first possible interview only two weeks after being fired.

Went out on an impromptu date last night. Last minute sorta thing with the same girl I have been seeing off & on. Had dinner, talked, it was good.

I've heard really bad things about that app.
What was a rant yesterday with my foot/ankle is sort of a victory today, it's only a bruised foot. Very, very bruised, but only that. I've got discoloration on both sides of the foot and showing tonight at the second and third toes, but it actually got to feeling fairly normal by this afternoon.
