[Webcomic] PVP Discussion

Since Cole is Scott's Avatar, I doubt he would ever permanently drop him from the comic. Then the other half of Scott's Avatar is of course Skull.

There's no way the firing will stick. Jase will ditto the "are you insane" statement and probably toss duckersheim out. Jase may have to do some boot-licking to get him back in, but I can't imagine that he's going to remove him from the comic, he's too critical as the "everyman" character, someone the reader can actually relate to.

This story seems a bit too soapboxy, but I might be letting who the message I coming from sway that a bit.

iThe firing might actually stick. There are a few times when Kurtz has gone against the comic's status quo adherence: Jase becoming rich, Brent falling in love with Jade, Brent marrying Jade, Max powers joining the company and becoming one of the crew, the panda no longer being outright hostile towards Brent, etc.

I also remember Kurtz said he was considering getting rid of Cole back in the Halfpixel days.

I'm also kind of growing fond of Duvkerwhatever as a character.

2 options

1) Auto-E asphyxiation

2) Cole comes to the office with a gun and goes on a rampage, accidentally killing Brent.

I think all the drama in his comic as of late can be summed up in one of his earlier comics

And a quick edit just for fun

I guess I'm not seeing anything halforums related here. Todays strip is fantastic. The last panel is awesome.

If he's being inspired by our criticism to troll us in this manner, we should be keeping it up. Despite Duckersheim's design, it's been pretty good in recent days.

I know, right? My pants are almost falling off, they're so loose.

But I think we're losing it, too!

I think you care even more than we do. Seriously.
Nah I'm over the whole "you guys need to be nicer" thing, because you were right about that. I'm just saying that it's a little conceited to think that he sits pouring over this forum to determine how to draw his next strip. It's a little crazy to think that.

Look, it's not like Kurtz is going to do a LOL-Bat storyline where Shecky plays a Penguin-like role.

*starts watching PVPonline.com like a hawk*

Scott's not looking here to find out what to do next because the strip's actually been on time for a few days. If he was having to get to it after looking here, we wouldn't see it for 26 hours.

I'm guessing that prepping the new site might have been what was taking up his time before and now that it's done, the strip can be on-time again.

So his current blog post or whatever links to the pregnancy storyline, which was a good one. I really enjoy reading some of the older stories.

I can kind of see why he would want to redraw it, because his art really has improved in some ways. But I don't really see a point from the readers perspective. He also does recognize the problems that presents :

"my fear of making things worse always supersedes my hatred of my old art and writing"

I'd be more concerned with his inability to keep to a fucking schedule as it is. Going back to redraw a part? Forget it. We'd never get another update again.

That pretty much sounds word for word what Lucas first said about his original trilogy.

Oh and to put what you said into my context:

"I can kind of see why he would want to update it, because technology really has improved in some ways"

I do like the Story Spotlight. Since he does not have the archives laid out by story line or tags, it is hard to go back and read his old comics.

As to his art in the pregnancy arc, don't change it. He was as talented then as he is now, he has just cleaned up his art a little. I don't think that makes him any better.

Ok yeah that's a fair point.
