I'm actually kind of worried that Axe Cop will stunt his abilities as a writer. This style of writing is acceptable for a young kid, but unless he manages to expand beyond it when he grows older, no one would want to read it anymore.

I'm not so much worried about his writing skills, but what if Ethan wants to do other stuff when he get's older. He'll just be thought of as "That kid who wrote Axe-cop" and not be taken seriously. I just hope he doesn't try a Doyle and make Axe-cop jump into a water-fall and die just to get out of it.

You mean how can gloat that he was a published writer when he was 5-years old? Yeah, because that's nothing to be proud of.
I'm not saying he wouldn't be proud it's just he might be for lack of a better word type-casted you know? Nathan Rueger said people in school would constantly ask him say "Water go down the hole" in school.

I just realized something.

Kris Straub is on the trip to Australia with Kurtz. Both of his comics have updated every day, no guest strips in sight.

Is Kurtz immune to good influence or something?

Remember when he announced that he was going to work super hard on getting at least a month of strips done ahead of time, for a buffer? Remember a week later when he canceled those plans? Yeah - I'd say he's most definitely immune to good influences.

I keep reading the blog title as "We're going down." and nothing else.

This arc reminded me how awesome Axe Cop is. (With Charlie gone, I'm free to end sentences with prepositions again, sans harassment!)

I've been reading Kurtz other comic Lawstar. It...is pretty much an even MORE boring PvP. Also as per usual webcomic fashion, all the characters are jerks.

You mean The Trenches? That's not Kurtz's, not entirely. It's a collaboration with the Penny Arcade guys.
