I think Iron Man 3 could be good and fun since Shane Black has made more good movies than every director that's worked on a Marvel Studios movie combined.

It's entirely possible that was the joke he was aiming for.

Apparently Black helped write the Lethal Weapon movies, and is working on the IM3 screenplay, though, so that's something.
He wrote the first and got a character credit for the others; he hasn't done a whole lot is all I'm saying, whereas I can list out stuff from the Marvel directors. I'm sure Charlie would love that--he's seen so few movies and could use a reference guide.

Well, looking at Iron Man's old director, he only had two movies before taking over IM, one of which was Elf. It was all tv stuff before that, and his acting was minor/short-term recurring roles. I'm not saying that's bad, just that Black is basically stepping in with as much big-budget experience as Favreau had at the time. Looking at a couple other directors randomly (Johnston from Cap and Louis Letterier from the recent Hulk) there's not a lot of amazing filmwork there, either. Johnston has some nostalgic stuff like Honey, I Shrunk The Kids or The Rocketeer, but also junk like Pagemaster and Jurassic Park 3. Leterrier has the Transporter movies and (ugh) Clash of the Titans.

So, really, if CDS likes Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (I've not seen it) that much, I can see why he'd say that even if he was just going for a reaction.

Good friggin' grief. HF is picky lately. I was like 12 when I watched in on a crappy TV. I'm lucky I made out "wolfman".

You mean the one where he becomes GOD but like, gives it all up because he's Wolverine and needs to make Marvel more money?
C'mon, one of the good guys getting omnipotent and then giving it up is something any of the characters would have done... heck, even Doom did it once (although it might have been just in the cartoon).

The only thing Google shows for nard=testicle is Urban Dictionary. Which also has nart=testicle in it.

Just got leaked that the Advanced Idea Mechanics are going to be in Iron Man 3, makes me wonder if Ben Kingsley is going to play the Scientist Supreme. Really, with each leaks it seems less and less likely The Mandarin is going to be involved.

There's been a shot shown of Stark with about 5-6 Iron Man armors in his workshop, too, some of which we've not seen in action. I don't remember much from the storyline, but maybe Armor Wars? It would bring Justin Hammer back in, along with the possibility of other various enemies.

Good.

I prefer the similarly-themed Deadpool story-line where he prevents a godlike entity from forcing eternal happiness on the earth so that people will still have free will. He does it by kicking a possessed Captain America in the nards.

New rule: Every 2nd or 3rd post in this thread requires at least one reference to nards, or the kicking thereof.

Ha, yeah I loved that Deadpool ended after the excellent Tiamat arc, and in no way went down a steady decline after that. LALALALALA.
