Or I don't care and was making a joke. You know what jokes are, right? I mean, you're living one after all. :troll:

Come on, you didn't really just play the "w/e IDC lolkthxbye" card? I thought you were better than that. Not much better, but still slightly better.

He was able to leave for a family thing. I think he was about 4-6 weeks and then he gets to see what happens-if he gets to leave, or something else.

Yep, a lot of help! He seems so much happier.

No word on that yet. I think they'll decide if he can do an out-paitent thing, or if he stays where he is in 4-6 weeks. If I remember what he told me correctly.

One of my coworkers was fired today and I know I shouldn't be happy over it but I am. He was completely incompetent in practically every aspect of his job and he always ended up making everyone else have twice as much work to offset his mistakes. He had been threatened with termination many times over the past year but for some reason they never bothered o actually fire him. Well as I mentioned earlier he ended up getting fired today.

We had heard through the grapevine that he had been reported for sexual harassment. Now according to our understanding he had hit on and made some kinda remark to one of my works cafe employees. Granted she is really cute but she is also 19 years old and looks even younger and my coworker is in his 40's so there is that extra creepiness to it. Now we thought he may get fired for it but we also thought that he may get away with it since he hadn't been fired yet. But apparently there is a few more things that happened that ended up being the final nail in the coffin for him. First of all it was not just one person who filed a sexual harassment claim it was three.

Now one of the people is a nice person with a good sense of humor so if she made a complaint it had to be something especially wrong. The second person was the one we knew about (the cafe worker I mentioned earlier) but what made that person even worse is the fact that she is dating the son of the human resource departments lead. And to make it even worse is the fact that the third person who complained about him was the HR lead herself. Apparently he had actually hit on her enough. Now besides it just being a bad idea to hit on a HR lead in general there is the added fact that we are contract workers. We work at the site but we are actually hired through a different company and there are a huge amount of rules about what kind of behaviour is acceptable between us contingent workers and everyone else. So it made everything that happened that much worse. As I said earlier I know I shouldn't be happy and I do feel a little bit bad for him but based on the fact that he is incompetent in his job and everything else that transpired it is really hard to be that upset. Plus since he got fired an acquaintance of mine who was looking for work was hired to replace him

I feel bad because I am so happy about him losing the job. I know he sucked at his job and he brought it upon himself but I still feel a little guilty over being so happy.

Feel bad if someone made a slight mistake and got canned.
Feel bad if someone got laid.
Don't feel bad if someone was an ass at their job and an ass to co-workers in a way that can feel uncomfortable and violating, and when it should've happened long ago. If you must feel guilty, spend your guilt on something worthwhile. Better yet, be happy for the three women who don't have to deal with this anymore (that you know of; could've gone unreported by others) and for your friend who now has a job.

hmmm

I am happy that he is gone for all the reasons you mentioned plus a few more but I still feel mildly guilty over it. Not enough to depress myself but enough to have it run around the back of my head.

When I was 5, I asked my mom, "What's sex?" because I'd heard the word on TV numerous times.
She said, "Sex is something you shouldn't do for a very long time," and then left the room.

This didn't clear anything up, but I figured she meant it wasn't something I should do until I grew up. But after several hours and some back pain, I understood that I should've have sex in long duration, or I'll suffer the consequences.

Thanks, mom!

Let me tell you about the dream I had last night.

I was watching a movie. The movie was Toy Story 4. In this movie everything starts off happy, all the characters hanging out in Bonnies room doing there thing. Then is gets weird.

Bonnie is pushed into her room by her mothers who tells her to "Don't come out, no matter what!" She slams the door and locks it. here are screams and groaning. The little girl is crying as her mothers screams die down and the banging on the door begins. The door breaks down and in climb very pixarish zombies. This design choice some how makes them more terrifying.

The girl is backed into a corner, the zombies are advancing, arms out stretched...when Woody and Buzz decided they ain't going to take this shit and jump to her rescue. The other toy join in and they some how manage to take down these zombies. The girl is stunned and thrilled at the same time.

Around this time I looked over to Steve, confused and horrified. He's rolling his eyes. "Not another zombie movie. All of Disneys movies are like this since they reanimated Walt. Hollywood is shit."

I think there was more to this dream, like Bonnie making the toys her army and stuff...but i can't remember.

WTF , brain?

nah, I played the "haven't done an Internet test in like, a year maybe?" card. Then I played the "no u" card followed up with an insincere troll face to thinly veil the insult.

Normally I don't much like internet tests either because they take so long and are divided up among a stupid number of pages, but this one was easy... just a single page of about 30 "check all that apply to you" lines.

And your last like was totally playing the "I don't care" card. Troll smiley distractions no worky on me.

That sounds freaky!

Although when you mentioned an abnormally large egg all I could think about was this book I read when I was a kid where a chicken laid a dinosaur egg.

And I think this is why I try not to go on HF. Everytime I come here, you're saying something horribly stupid. -_-;
