Well, I think The Road was a masterpiece. The Grey was great but it wasn't quite as good if I compared the two. In my opinion.I'd say they were equally amazing in their own rights.

If you want something that Grey did better than The Road for comparison sake, was pacing. Not saying that The Road wasn't amazing, just saying they're both equally amazing for what they each were.Well, I think The Road was a masterpiece. Every time I saw the trailer I was like -This is just a pure film showcase for Neeson's badassery- and while I was right, as usual his intense emotional performance made it -just that much more-.You know, I think The Grey could have just been another action/thriller but Neeson's performance took it way above that. If he hadn't been in it I don't know if it would have had half the emotional power it did.
That's a simplified version of the plot, but correct. So the movie is more than Liam Neeson fighting wolves on a snowy mountaintop?
It's not -too much more- than that plotwise but again, it's the performances that pick it up.Yea, the trailers and adverts made it seem like nothing special. Sounds like I'll have to go give this a watch.
By that definition, Taken wasn't anything to write home about. It was predictable too, simplistic in plot, a storyline even Steven Segal has done once or twice, am i right?Personally I didn't find The Grey anything to write home about. I liked Neeson's performance, but the movie as a whole was largely predictable and overall forgettable. I don't regret watching it, but I doubt it'd see it twice.[DOUBLEPOST=1348762186][/DOUBLEPOST]But perhaps, it's simply China sucking out my emotions.
Damn communists.
Comedians of Comedy and yes, it is amazing. As if the cast list wasn't perfect enough, Zach's cameo was the icing on the cake.I saw the "Comedian of Comedy" movie yesterday. Just about everybody in it was amazing.
When starts those ivories you know you're gonna lave your ass off.Comedians of Comedy and yes, it is amazing. As if the cast list wasn't perfect enough, Zach's cameo was the icing on the cake.
yeah, you're right, Taken is actually a really shitty movie with a cherry on top of being really offensiveBy that definition, Taken wasn't anything to write home about. It was predictable too, simplistic in plot, a storyline even Steven Segal has done once or twice, am i right?
It's posts like these that make Charlie our funniest poster, bar none.Liam Neeson's character is the patriarchy and Eastern Europe is his daughter's sexuality.
Translation: Ba Dum Tis!Also - lots of racism
npI always feel so alone in my opinion that Taken was garbage, thanks Charlie.
Because it's a better movie. Also, The Master. Wow. After I went to RottenTomatoes, not because they are relevant at all, but as a shorthand to read a couple of reviewers I like. And I saw that The Avengers has a higher tomato score. lmao
Nah!Because it's a better movie.
I'm gonna make as much effort to respond as you are to trolling me, if you wanna tell me why, I'm game, but I'm 99% sure you haven't seen The Master
Bloody hell, when did you get back? Nice to see ya.The Grey wasn't terrible but it suffered the same problem as Taken, a flimsy plot held together purely by Liam Neeson badassery. Parts of The Grey were utterly painful (crossing the ravine, that was their plan?) and others were remarkable (first death after the plane crash). Also having dire wolves stalking them didn't help the realism factor of the movie one bit.
