Video Game News and Miscellany

New Vegas isn't as bad as it used to be, but it took until damn near the release of the GOTY version to get there. That's way too fucking long.

Scribblenauts Unlimited pricing is pretty ass all over the place.

PC: $30
3DS: $40
Wii-U: $60

For pretty much the exact same game. The hell?

Eh, Scribblenauts was fun for a little while, but the meat of the game was more the playground than the actual puzzles.

The puzzles no longer rewarded creativity. Instead you had to figure out exactly what bullshit combination of words the game makers wanted you to use. That was 90% of the game.

This may not be news to you but its news to me! THE KOOPALINGS AREN'T BOWSER'S KIDS ANY MORE! What the fuck Miyamoto? Way to freakin' retcon! I've known the Koopalings to be Bowser's kids since I was TEN and now ol' Shigs is just messing with the time-line. Its bad enough New Super Mario Bros 2 has that crappy million coins sub-plot but this is just icing on the cake.

I saw that in the back of the new Game Informer. Just ... bizarre. I'm still gonna call them the Koopa Kids and the little Bowser was originally Bowser's baby self from Yoshi's Island.

Awww man... Resident Evil 6 is going to suck so hard....
The Leon stuff looked okay, but that's because it had that slow, ponderous feel of the pre-4 games. If they can maintain that the entirety of his story, then 1/3rd of it will be... okay. I still wouldn't care about the other 2 stories though.

I always had a problem with that scene. Notice how Blade's arm is held out rigidly. In other words, his hand is a stationary target that Whistler hits with EXTREME precision.

That scene doesn't demonstrate Blade being awesome at catching some sunglasses without even looking. It demonstrates Whistler used to be a ninja and was using his awesome shuriken-throwing abilities on some sunglasses.

A dude made a complete soundtrack to a fake Mega Man 11. Since Capcom seems to despise the fact that Mega Man is one of their IPs, this is as good as it will get for Mega Man fans. It's good stuff. Makes me all gushy nostalgic.

Welp I guess I'm glad I stopped with the Resident Evil series at pt4.
I'm just glad I didn't buy into the hype for 6 like some of my friends. They all ran down to GameStop with their wallets open for preorders. I took a wait-and-see approach.

I'm disappointed that the game appears to be bad, but I'm not exactly surprised. Capcom has completely lost their way recently.

Remember those friends I mentioned earlier? The ones who ran out and preordered the game? I sent a text asking what one of them thought about all the bad reviews. His response:
I only read one review, and it was IGN. They liked it, so I will still get it. I take what [reviewers] say with a grain of salt anyway because they have all have an anti-Japanese bias.
