Or rather, women could but men can't, according to scientific american.
looks like some scientist's girlfriend made him watch "When Harry Met Sally" with her on date night
Further clarification: Heterosexual men and women.Or rather, women could but men can't, according to scientific american.
Is it because you don't find those female friends to be attractive? Or, to be more precise, sexually appealing? Or are they attractive but you truly don't want to have sex with them?Anecdotal evidence time!
I can think of several female friends that I would not want to have sex with.
Then again, there are plenty I would, given a friends with benefits situation. Because sex.
Hrm... this could need more study.
Well, for example, one of them is very attractive, but is also married with kids. So that would just be weird. Is it because you don't find those female friends to be attractive? Or, to be more precise, sexually appealing? Or are they attractive but you truly don't want to have sex with them?
Because, generally speaking, the only females I don't find myself physically attracted to are the ones who I do not think are hot.
You're missing the point. It's a biological study, not social/moral as I stated early on.Well, for example, one of them is very attractive, but is also married with kids. So that would just be weird.
It's plausible, to me, that a woman already married and with kids would become less sexually appealing to other men. Both from an armchair biologist's standpoint, and an armchair psychologist's standpoint.Well, for example, one of them is very attractive, but is also married with kids. So that would just be weird.
Holy fuck Juski's still here.[DOUBLEPOST=1351131521][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, my best friend is one of them, whatchoocallit, "women folks", and I can honestly say if she wanted to be more than friends I'd be freaked the fuck out and tell her she was being an idiot. I was definitely interested in her when we first met, but we've known eachother for a decade or so now, she's been more or less adopted by my family, and I honestly consider her to be like another sister.nerds everywhere now have yet another rationalization for the grim reality that they're just awkwardly socialized goons.
Just like everyone else's prom night.Hey, I have no problem being friends with women.
Just as long as we can have consensual sex.
...wait.
Consensual? What a gentleman.Hey, I have no problem being friends with women.

Hey, does this candle smell like chloroform to you?Consensual? What a gentleman.
You should take my research methods and statistics class. They are reporting an average result, which means there is variability in the sample. The two populations need not be totally non-overlapping for their to be a statistical difference in the averages. There are probably some women who were jonesing for their male friends too.I feel like I saw this a year ago.
In any case, it assumes that any straight male will have sex with any female. I suppose it feels that way when you're not getting any, but for the rest of us, we tend to be choosy.
