The Christmas present that I am most proud of that I got my neice-in-law - a Frozen brand recorder set with music. And more recently, a rock tumbling set... And a violin. My goal is loud educational gifts. It's a fun challenge each year.

Back in January (I think, it might have been February) I applied for four different academic grants through my denomination's "foundation" arm. The results came in today. I got two of them! I expected none, or at best, one! Yay money!!!

I am a loyal Gridanian cat-girl, and so I was whining about having to go to Limsa for some reason - "it's too busy and too loud!" Port into town: teleport noise --> quiet --> *BWAWH* *electric guitar power chord*! --> Limsa background music starts. Sheesh.

I think that the second rounds of preliminary approvals for my thesis project is coming to an end. I just got back a fairly positive ethics review - I should make a few changes, but don't technically have to - and once the committee approves the thing, I'm good to go. So close!

I've been in a week of 8-12 hour a day meetings. Though this conversation is on my list to look into. Later.

So housing prices here are a bit nuts at the moment, and out of curiosity I went poking around the surrounding neighbourhood to see what was selling for what. See my mom's place a few subdivisions over listed as 'sold.' Not that weird, they keep records like that visible for a the better part...

I'm just a bit flumoxed that Exodus isn't allowing character creation. But that said, even Gridania's been busy recently. Not Limsa busy, but not my peaceful oasis that I'm used to.
