I hate trying to figure out when to use effect vs affect. It is always a shit show.

After a hundred or so squares you either get good or stop caring about how they look! The challenge came with the variable thickness of the yarn. I always bought the same weight, but some of the handed down leftovers were a bit chunkier than anticipated.

Last year's "mood blanket" only 6 months worth of squares, because, well, one square a day was a bit much. Especially with 6+ months of ridiculous acute illness. Either way, it's done, and weird to look at as a whole. Like, I can see the depression, and the period of exhaustion due to anemia...

I also did some little crochet for Christmas. A selection of cat toys for my sister-in-laws cat. Her favorite colour is orange (the SiL, not the cat.) The rainbow mice look a bit wonky in the picture, but we're quite cute in person. Each toy is all one continuous thread, so nothing can fall...

I have been crafting since... Jesus... January of last year! I swear! I almost have the 'mood blanket' crochet project finished, it's on the last few polishing steps now. However! I have just finished my first! ever! cross stitch project. I started it this afternoon and finished this evening...

I assume that treating head injuries is more profitable than limb injuries, so this makes sense. It also makes me rage, but from a profit perspective it's completely logical.

I'm running a d&d campaign and tonight is our make-up game fort last week. So sadly, no.

Lay's curry chips. They existed... 15 years ago? Then disappeared. They've done butter chicken chips since then. Nope. Not right. Now they have 'magic masala' which is closer, but not the same!!!!! Too sweet and too tomato-y. I want my curry chips back.

I've seen this position around in a few places, and while I'm sure that there is some outside funding and influence on these... actions, I also think that to say "oh, it's all Russia/or whomever is the international villain of the week" lets those of us in Canada/US/North America off the hook...

I'm more than a bit concerned (about a few things in this thread, but particularly about) how this person found out that the person they harrased is "quite geuninely a female." That seriously squicks me out.
