I was a Nintendo guy for my first video game experience; but I remember when my family got a 486. The two games that stick out most to me was F-19 Stealth Fighter and F-15 Strike Eagle II. Devoured the manuals and spent a ridiculous amount of time on those games.

Pft.. it was always the dirty Hibs and Mids alarmclockin'! Damn Vae Victus! The stalwart defenders of Albion would never stoop so low. God I miss that game... and time to play said game.

Distant Worlds: Universe Space 4x. Super deep, custom levels of micromanagement due to toggles for automation for your empire. Not as complex as Aurora 4x. Not as UI or user friendly as Stellaris. Needed some YouTube video time to figure out what to do; but loved following along learning...

As do I. I'd much rather read Doors of Stone than whatever George R.R. Martin is working on at this point anyway.

Starting my second read through of it soon. Loved his books, and a big fan of the man himself, his World Builder's charity is fantastic. Also, he's hilarious when doing the Acquisitions Inc. Dungeons & Dragons podcasts/live games.

Applied and was accepted to attend a TED Talk for educators later this month. School board wants me to take unpaid days off to attend as it's not related to 'board programming'. IT'S A FREAKEN EDUCATION CONFERENCE!!!! Grrrrr.

Banished. I'm feeling a bit burnt out on RimWorld and played a lot of Banished when it first came on the scene a few years ago. Apparently I need to get my hands on a community mod called Colonel Charters, which vastly expands and improves the game. Feeling the itch for some Crusader...

Did a "start with nothing" scenario that I edited up. While slow going and being at the mercy of the RNG, it was pretty fun. I didn't make it very far, ended up getting a wound infected after a hunting trip and died in a med bed. A prisoner that I had captured starved to death days later. No...

I have a great colony going... only... totally forgot to research mortars.... and a siege raid just showed up... I believe I'm screwed.

Currently on book 2 of the Foundation Series. I've never read it before but my dad suggested it was 'must read' for sci-fi lovers. Thus far I'm enjoying it, makes me want to play Aurora 4x and Stellaris again.. which makes me want to re-read the Red/Green/Blue Mars series again.
