A RISK thread. Risky buisness perhaps?

The problem with the regional maps is that they have edges. The world map sort of wraps around, so nobody can really back themselves into a corner. The New York map mitigated that problem with the airports, but I haven't found a Warlight map that does the same thing.

That said, I'd be okay with the Europe map.

Well, we could always do the impossible-to-wrap-your-head-around dodecahedron.

Or make our own wrap-around map.

sadly those non standard maps really suck... They look kinda cool but they dont really work well in game.

I tried making a map once but got distracted with life and never completed it :(

I was tempted to convert the New York map ... and then I considered doing a Newfoundland map. And then I thought about an Atlantic Canada map. And I was about to start on a map of St. John's, when I realized it would be really freaking difficult on a laptop.

I'm okay with playing on the Europe map. I've won a few games against the AI where I started off in the middle of the continent, and the fog of war thing will keep things fresh. Besides, the thing is too massive and beautiful not to use.

Finally added the Second Battle of New York to the Wiki. It's a bit longer than the first game's wiki entry, but it was a much longer and more complicated battle.

I also edited the Halforums Civil War page to reflect the conclusion of the second battle, as well as the beginning of our third game.

As usual, I will not be offended if you edit either article if you feel you can reflect the events more accurately. I can only tell the story from my perspective, as hard as I try otherwise, so I might have missed something that you thought was important, or totally threw too much emphasis on something that you thought was pretty minor.

Thanks. I'm glad you like them, I was hoping somebody would.

"On March 25th, 2001, the battle ended"

was that intentional?
Oops, no it wasn't. I fixed the '2001' like, a split second before your post, but it honestly didn't even occur to me that the 'march' part was incorrect.

I think, really, you've just become unstuck in time and don't know what the date is. This also accounts for you going into the future and knowing what we'll do in RISK and countering it.

I'm on to you.

Another game ended!
I've gone and taken screenshots of every turn's outcome in the 'Game History' viewer. Would anyone be willing to clean them up and turn them into a GIF for the sake of the game page on the Hal Wiki?
