Hey, I saw dave's post about a new Vent server? are we using a new one?

Why is the thumbnail for the stats image a picture of a hot woman in orange, and why won't it enlarge to said woman!

Well judging by the statistics and the damage done, it would appear that Sylvaria outpaced the majority of the party in damage, since they are undead, and the disparity of damage done, it would appear that she is a divine controller, most likely an Invoker.

Give the man a prize. :)

I'll take the dinette set for $400 and the Mexican vacation for $1200 Pat.

So then, 1st turn Rebuke Undead, followed by a 2nd turn with Angelic Echelon, then possibly Glyph of Imprisonment.

She didn't do all that; she use her at-will a couple times, her Undead Rebuke, and really went with a basic approach to out-do all of us.

I rolled three attacks, Will attacks against undead, and failed each and every one. The only damage I did was on an auto-hit counterattack.

I should have known that. Julie tends to use at wills 80% of the time and as a first resort instead of last resort like Kevin. Very 2nd ed of her.

I never played 2e but I played a caster in 3.5, enough to know that it's often useful to keep back your big guns. :)

It's a habit we've picked up from video games. Don't blow your load at the beginning. I think it's why our group's fights always drag out.

Hey, my at-wills are there for a reason, people! I choose them specifically to be useful and repeatable. ^.^ I really only used one of my at-wills over and over because it was the best one for the situation at hand. I have two other at-wills that work great in other quite different situations.

That and I was just salivating at the chance to use Rebuke Undead, and Jay obliged. I love me some Jay. Mwah!

Hey guys, lay off Julie and her at wills. I get it. there have been a few times in this game alone where I used my Big powers early and was left with only my at wills and they were only minimally helpful. I'm actually learning to play a bit more the way she did in this last battle. Besides, er approach worked, she did twice the damage i did, and i was second behind her. and she killed almost all of the big bads. Its a strategy, and it seems to be working. lol Way to go Julie, keep up what works.

I don't think we're giving her a hard time. I do the same thing!

I have a daily attack power, a daily regen power, and a daily +2 to all damage for the encounter.

And I used none of them in that encounter. The situations just didn't call for it. Why would I bother smacking the shit out of a wraith and knock it prone it was just gonna vanish afterwards? Honestly, the vanishing and moving made it really hard to plan anything beyond at-wills anyway.

All I can tell you is (and what I hope you've seen already as much) that my adventures run for some time... the mausoleum will be a dungeon crawl filled with of riddles, traps and combat encounters. Unlike what some of you may be accustomed to from previous games, you'll not wrap things up in one or two combats but instead have hard hitting, short combat encounters between extended rests. Some encounters can easily change from being one, to not being one and like-wise reversed depending on your decisions. (GJ Brian) Resting in such a place without wards will be your DOOM!

I'm also going to take away things that you believe you can depend on to shake things up (for example, lights) and EVERYTHING I give you is for a reason (goggles, potions... etc). Did I mention you guys were in combat at the end of the session? Thy fates are sealed! (perhaps the ghost boy could have helped...)

hee hee hee

They only vanished if they hit with their touch attacks. :D

For the record, Jay, I loved that last fight. It was interesting and different. As Helga said, planning was unreliable, due to the nature of the monsters. This led to more thinking-on-your-feet types of moments for me, which i did really enjoy. just some feedback. this next fight, in the dark with nothing but the floating latern, definatly seems cool. knowing we are now in combat, in a room with traps, i'm glad i downed that potion now. lol

I'm glad I'm a dwarf (lowlight vision and improved poison saves), and I'm glad I'm taking the total defense action currently.

Did we ever figure out when we were plaing next or if we were changing the day?

Darryl and Julie are busy next week and I've got school Mondays-Wednesdays.

Seems like we'll most likely have to take a week off.

Um... noooooooo. I said a few pages back, we're good for next week (13th.) It's the week after that, the 20th, that we're not available.

Yep, the week of the 20th, next week should be fine.

For the week of the 20th, you guys can discuss alternate dates. If no dates are available, it'll go on the week after that.

Oh yeah, and we're playing on my Birthday. The DM should give me a present. Like a pair of magical Daggers that increase the power of my spells. Ir some other form of magical items that would help my character specifically. lol jkjk

I like how with Falagar's item, Tyrdin sees the beating heart, while the rest of you see weapons. I'd blame that on Jay, but then we come here and it's "can I have a dagger?" Get some priorities. Rathkor, you should be wanting a note from your master. Falagar should want that book to be a tome of his own exploits that furthers his vanity. Helga should see her huband's writhing testicles for leaving her and faking his own death.

Hey, I have a clue on where Salvitor is. The fake note would only lead me on a wild goose chase. Meanwhile, a good pair of daggers would keep me alive long enough to get to Good Mead to search for the next real clue. lol
