[Gaming] Elder Scrolls 5 - Dawnguard is HERE!

Thanks for the Tipps guys. But actually, for this playthrough, I don't want to "cheat". For this game, I decided to stick with whatever happens in the game (well, unless it's a game-breaking glitch or if my Player dies)...

It's an approach I haven't taken yet on a game, and in this games, it works quite well. It really is an immersing experience, and dealing with whatever happens to you helps a lot with the immersion. So... Who knows, maybe she's alive, maybe not... This episode with Lydia... It shows me how good this game really is...

You know... I've been searching for her, or her body, and really got into the "role" I'm playing in this game... It moved me, I caught myself mumbling to myself "what kind of a thane leaves his housecarl behind?" and "Come on, she must be somewhere around here...".

Now I can "hope" to find her againg someday... Or just let her pass - and who knows what will happen on the way.

This game really makes me live a beautiful and gripping story - something I haven't experienced in a very, very long time. If ever.

I just love this game. (Btw, got it last week, on thursday... And I'm already 15 hrs in... :awesome: And I have no feeling of "hurry" ("I have to finish this game as quickly as possible") or Obligence ("I must do what the game wants from me.") The sense of freedom... To PLAY instead of just... "gaming"... Yeah, loving it so far.

To get your follower to the same level as you dismiss her, wait for the follower dismissed message then open console type "disable" and then "enable". She should be your level then.Take all of his/her items though.they might vanish.

I don't feel that immortalizing Lydia is really "cheating" because some other companions also happen to be "plot essential" such as Aela - that, and AE friendly fire is a stupid game mechanic.

Really, sometimes you just HAVE to use the console to "fix" things. Like picking up a wayward toddler and turning it back to the correct direction.

I had a glitch where Lydia was permanently "wounded". She would never rise up from her wounded state and she pathetically trailed after me in a limping crawl. None of the workarounds worked so I had to do the disable/enable thing to bring her back.

Like Gas said... sometimes you just have to use the console.

Did anyone here let their companions be made a member of the Blades?

@fastravelling to Dragonsreach
So do I after crafting a buttload of daggers at Warmaiden and then entchanting them at the Dragonsreach.

Doesn't really work.

I thought it did, then I had Iona as a follower and then I was like... HOLY SHIT woman can fight!

You guys are making me want to play again... must.... resist....

You know, I have been noticing a lot more world based mods, like ones that edit houses and even layouts. One person made a modification to Breezehome called Riftrun, which basically gives Breezehome a more spacious house with a Honeyside/Riften inspired feel. The same person even went on to add a whole new blacksmithing room to Honeyside. How are people doing this without the toolset?

About using the console to get back Lydia... As I mentioned before, if it isn't a game-breaking glitch, I don't think I'll use an old savegame. I think I can apply the same for using the console. As said before, at the moment, it's part of the appeal of the game.

Ahhh... can't wait to get back to Skyrim.

Yesterday, I just stood there to watch a sunrise... Together with Lydia. *lol*

Well then... how about using the console to fix the glitch that prevents Lydia from being marriageable? You know you want that, don't you.

Let me guess...
someone stole your sweetheart.

Lydia returns after a month: "Here my Thane, I brought you your sweetroll. I'd have returned sooner, but I got an arrow in the *waaargaarbllxchhhhh*...." *sinks to the ground with a knife through her left eye*

Try being the only woman at your job that isn't 100% infatuated with the lives of the Kardashians.
