My cleaning lady, a ~30yo Latina with immigrant parents, 5 kids, and no husband just told me "I used to like Trump but not anymore."
I about had an aneurism from the stupid... but at least she came around eventually, I guess. I told her her family can hide in my attic when they come to revoke their citizenship and deport them to a country they've never even been to. It wasn't really clear to either of us if I was kidding or not.

Look, as a leftist commie I fucking hate the Democrats too. Harris was a terrible candidate and the party would rather celebrate the fucking Cheneys than stick to anything of importance. But I still voted for her, because a vote between licking a booger and getting shot in the face with a gun is not any sort of equivalence.

A lot of people are just too stupid to understand that Politics is not just about performative "sake of argument" stances for what they believe in, but rather about actual consequences that will affect themselves and those they love.
See also: people voting for Trump (or Brexit) as a joke. They either don't understand or don't care about the consequences of their actions.
