There's an unexplored precedent for you. If a former president is sent to prison, what happens to the Secret Service protection? Even without becoming president, someone like Trump would be far to notable to be allowed in the general population.

It's almost certain that they'd keep him on an military base or in a military prison in isolation short-term and then actually construct a facility JUST for this or add a wing onto an existing military prison. The potential for state secrets to be spilled is just too severe to risk putting a president in with the general population.

But hey... they'll probably name it after him: the Trump Presidential Super-Max Center.

I would just like to remind everyone that the House can initiate impeachment but the very Republican Senate would oversee the actual process. And a conviction requires a 2/3 majority of the Senate.

So this still isn’t going to amount to shit while all these “Party Before Country” Republicans control the Senate.
