its canon that meta-knight is kirby full grown from the future, which is terrifying in its own right.
I feel like there's a trope that describes that kind of story but I don't feel the need to lose 5 hours.
I meant more along the lines of the story implying that something major is going on but that's not what the main character or the story is focused on.

Well, there's Great Offscreen War, Lower Deck Episode, The Greatest Story Never Told, and Hero of Another Story
