[PC Game] Hearthstone (Practically Beta)

Hahahahahahahaahaha

The way to get Tyrande is to subscribe to Twitch Prime.

Though, if you already use Amazon Prime, you are subbed to Twitch Prime.

I saw the possibility, but he still had 26hp left, so didn't see how hitting him for 12 (10 - 4Soulpriest = 6ForbHeal) was going to be enough, especially since Feastie was going to hit you for 3 damage once you cast it.

It was meant for later. That's why I was sad he conceded before we got far enough. :p

Hee-hee this brawl.
I chose Mana Wraith.
My opponent conceded right after turn 6.
Deadly poison looks like it might be fun to try, too.

So far the most powerful deck I've seen seems to be Mind Blast.

Other powerful cards: Bladed Cultist, and Mechwarper (Warlock for draw).

I still expect to see some YouTube highlight involving either where Everything Went According To Plan™.
Hmm...I wonder if Fallen Hero would work well enough?

Rewards list, for anyone interested:

Looks like if you don't get at least 6 wins, you're better off just buying packs with your gold, with the real money break-even point being lower.

Wow, that's some serious bullshit.

EDIT: Couldn't they at least offer Randomonium to those of us who don't want to pay $10 to play against ranked decks?

I'm actually pretty excited about this brawl. Not because I plan to participate (I might if I have the time) but because it's obvious they are using this to test other game formats, and might even lead to the holy grail of tournament mode that everyone (or maybe just me) have been hoping for.

Isn't...isn't this just regular Arena, but with equivalent competitive entry fee and reward?
Is this their first step towards ignoring the casual player?*

--Patrick
*i.e., admitting they only wanted paying customers all along?

Not quite, because they let you make a deck from your own collection. I wouldn't mind it if it didn't take up the tavern brawl spot for a whole week.

Ha haa! You assume casual players have access to all the cards. They don't. I'm fairly certain they release new expansions/adventures juuuuust frequently enough to keep Der Kasual Playeren from being able to keep up with people who spend money.

I said nothing about casual players. I said why it's not like regular arena.

I have a free account (read: my account, but on the European server) that I've never paid a dollar on, but can still mount competitive decks. You don't need all the cards, only 30

Hearthstone patch notes 2016-10-20

The important bits:

- Murlocs that used to buff ALL other murlocs will now only buff friendly murlocs.

- One Night in Karazhan cards aren't getting a frequency bonus in arena anymore

- Yogg now causes overload

- a few more specific bug fixes

- New Daily Quests! including ones where you play 30 ___ class cards or 50 class cards from any class; play a certain number of beasts, murlocs, demons, pirates, battlecry, deathrattles, divine shields, enrage, taunt, weapons, secrets; use your hero power 30 times.
Gold ranges from 40 up to 100 (for playing 75 murlocs or 75 battlecry minions)

Honestly, I'm really excited about these new quests. With none of them revolving around winning, it may allow more people to try out fun decks without feeling like they're being punished for losing.
