Marketplace and HalBucks!

There are two new tabs at the top of the page. One you may have already seen - Triple Triad (TT) - but the other one is there for fun and to help with TT. Market. So what is the Market? Simply put, it's a place you can spend HalBucks, which you accrue by posting, etc. What can you get? Glad you asked.

In the Marketplace you can change your name, change the color of your user name, buy custom titles, etc. There will be a monthly lottery that you can buy tickets for that will give HalBucks. Contests will be moving to a Contest sub-board and entries will be worth more HalBucks than normal posts. This should encourage participation in the contests.

Other things you can do with the Market:

1) Buy gifts for others to show off.
2) Steal HalBucks from other users (each attempt costs money and there's a base 15% success rate)
3) Gamble to get more HalBucks. No, this does not hook into the Gameroom. Yet.
4) Don't want people to steal from you? Buy protection.

Soon this will have more functionality but for right now enjoy the basic stuff.

And for a limited time only, post in this thread and I'll give you 100 HalBucks.

This has been around far longer than FaceBook. If anything, FaceBook smells like Marketplace.

I'm still setting prices but I want to make sure that it costs a bunch to change names. And this time it'll give me a log of who purchased so I can track who changes what.

Patience. Soon you might. Like hiding the NSFW area unless you buy in. And we'd start allowing more...just more.

Hrm.. am I doing it wrong? I set my "glow" to dark red (get it, crimson, red, whatever) and I've looked in Opera, Firefox, and IE and I don't see anything in any of them :( I is a sad, sad, blood red soul
