Last night I was really thinking about starting a new character in Mass Effect 1 with a class I typically don't play with a different romance option because I have such fond memories of those games.
Then I remembered how it all ends in Mass Effect 3 and I promptly shut the computer down and read a book.

Now I want to see a quest breakdown compared to past Bioware games like Baldur's Gate.
This is one thing I hate about sequels that are done poorly, whether games or movies. That horrible event when the sequel changes a dynamic so much that when you go back to the original, you can't get as into it because the poor point of the sequel lingers in your mind, it changes how you feel about all the events before it.

Wow, that was almost as lazy as the ending to Mass Effect 3.
He didn't really write it though. It looks like the IGN folk (Chobot's character is front and center in the animation, whoduthunk) who commissioned him to do it just wanted a scene by scene remake of the Saturday morning Watchmen.
I read somewhere where he defended it by saying something like, "If doing commissioned stuff like this lets me make Starbarians in my free time, so be it."
And here's a side rant that I haven't really seen talked about here about the Chobot character and why it bothers me so much. Tali has been a central character in the game since the beginning. Her appearance has been the subject of much speculation. When they finally decided to show what she looked like they used a shittily photoshopped stock photo.....then they went ahead and lovingly crafted bloated strange looking custom model for Jessica fucking Chobot.
Fuck your artistic integrity up your shit cunt.
Diana Allers is EXACTLY what's wrong Mass Effect 3, distilled right down to it. 22 million out of 10 says IGN, best game ever made and that ever will be made.

No, if it was a troll ending then it would have been like "I saw three bright lights... and knew I'd never be satisfied again."
Okay, I'm going to do that playthrough I was thinking of through Mass Effect 1 and 2 while romancing Liara now. Then in Mass Effect 3 at the end after Anderson's speech on the citadel I'm going to pretend that the Reapers all died and then this picture is my ending. Much much better than EA's. Thanks Jay
