So, my birthday present to myself was a Chargriller Wrangler 640 cubic inch smoker, with optional side fire box. Got it today. And, I can't keep it. Even though the lease doesn't stipulate that charcoal/wood burning BBQ devices cannot be used (in fact, it has restrictions and rules as to where they must be placed, but specifically does say that they can be used), apparently the property owner came through 2 - 3 months back, freaked out because they saw a bunch of non-propane or electric grills/BBQs, and told the management company that they had to send letters to everyone who owned one and tell them they couldn't use it anymore. The property management company did not, however, send a letter to all tenants informing them of this, or else I wouldn't have spent $300 on something that I now have to return. At least Amazon allows returns. Probably still going to tell the property management company that they owe me a rent credit in the amount that I don't get back from the return, though.
