Minor victory thread

One of my close friend's dad had breakfast with Obama this week at the G20. Of course, being the excitable type, he had to take pictures. He was also messaging us telling us about flying around on Sarkozy's government jet.

My coworkers' conversation about ethics and the economy has turned into a conversation about politics. It's a slow day and everyone's talking about stuff I have no real opinion on, so it's break time for me. :)

I'm also very excited to see my girlfriend tonight again. Due to her shopping trip over the past weekend and us both being sick at different times last week, it's been 9 days since I've seen her.

When you click recent threads all the threads in which you've participated have your avatar tiny sized on top of the avatar of the person who made the thread. I almost impulsively click on every thread I've participated in the past, which isn't great because there are some threads I no longer want to read, nevermind participate in. The only option is to delete all my posts in that thread to get rid of the little avatar.

Minor victory: I just deleted the 35 posts I had made to the "PVP Discussion" thread over its lifetime and will hopefully be able to ignore it more completely.

Woo!
That... sounds like more of a problem than a solution...

Because you're changing that environment for everyone, who will no longer be able to read your posts at all just because you decide you don't wanna accidentally click that thread again.

Seriously.

Not having to read Alt-Adam posts at all? There's a downside??

For the first time in 7 months (since she finished grad school and qualified as an NP), my wife actually had an interview for an NP position. I don't want to get ahead of myself, but I'm really looking forward to the day I won't have to work two jobs.

Also, American Hoggers is the best show on TV right now.
Indeed. I like the part where the feral hogs get taken to a food bank and processed. There was another show where the people would capture feral hogs and just relocate them, aka "Spread the problem to places it wasn't, yet."

Also: Bullshit TV drama: In a reality show where someone has a bitch fit over two other people talking, theoretically about them, even though it's basically nothing.

Justified TV drama: When the sister on American Hoggers flips her shit because her idiot brother shot at a hog while she was dismounting her horse, potentially spooking the horse and causing her severe injury. She was okay, but that could have gone really, really badly and she had every reason to get in his face about it.

The father is the greatest wordsmith in the world!
He is a living breathing redneck/hick caricature and it's awesome. If King of the Hill, Dukes of Hazzard, and the Blue Collar Comedy Tour's material all went back in time and had an orgy, he would be the product.

About a week ago I mentioned to my wife that I wished I could play Skyrim. Problem with that is our computers don't have a prayer in running it and we don't have an X-Box. So I resigned myself to the idea that this would be another game I wouldn't have a chance to play.

Sunday night she checks Craigslist and applies for a seasonal job making wreaths at a local business. The job is only 3 weeks but it's hard work and 10 hour days. She told me she wanted me that since I'm already working at night she thought it only fair that she find a way that we can have the X-Box and I could get Skyrim using the birthday money I got this week.

Long story short- my wife got a job to buy me an X-Box.
