So I was talking to this girl on OKC, and we started texting, and she's like "Hey, how about your photo?" And there are photos of my on OKC but whatever, this is the photo I took of myself, not my best photo, admittedly, and I never heard from again. Anyway, I just found it on my phone, and I mean, I don't know, someone should see this to help me cope with my crippling insecurities, or at least point what tragic flaw drove her away.
Haha it was awhile ago, before I quit using OKC. I just realised that she was the only person who'd seen that photo, and like, man, forget that noise.
Look what came in the mail today! XD Now to get invites started/finished hopefully this weekend!

Ironing, ironing, and ironing today! Soooo much ironing! Guess who?
The top layer is perfect, but the bottom layer had some problems. I cut the bottom layer first and didn't shrink it before adding the decor bond to make it stiff (it wasn't a fabric I wanted to stick in the washer/dryer). So, while ironing/steaming the bottom layer shrunk as the decor bond got all wrinkley over it... Learned my lesson with that layer but thought it would still work in the end since it was the bottom layer and didn't need to be completely perfect.
Top layer turned out great since I steamed it before adding the interfacing to it! Kept all its dimensions and held all the pleats, and I'm super happy with it! It wasn't until after I completed the top layer that I went back to the bottom layer... I hemmed it and then tried to add a couple pleats in, but the fabric and interfacing just don't want to work together, so I'll have to scrap it and try again.
The good news (well, maybe *good* isn't the right word here) is that I have a horrible habit of always buying TOO MUCH fabric (I round up, but too much) so I have plenty of both decor bond AND the brown fabric to make another layer. Wheeeee
