It's actually not a bad show. At least I could handle watching Yo Gabba Gabba! better than a lot of the other kids' shows. But I also used to watch a bunch of Sid & Marty Krofft stuff when I was a kid, so it's sort of nostalgic.
The founder of The Aquabats is the show's creator, and there's fewer things more catchy than an Aquabats tune.
IIRC, one of the guys from Homestarrunner is also responsible for Yo Gabba Gabba. It would explain a lot.
They do collaborate a lot, the Chapman brother (Matt) that voices Strongbad has shown up on the Aquabats TV show (I think he works on it with the AB's), as well as toured with the band due to Strong Bad being in a song:
