Interesting. I've never thought of trying that last Soldier 76 strategy.
Also, when did these videos get so short?

Running low on material, I'd guess.

And that running-in-circles thing will only work briefly... the longer overtime goes, the quicker the bar depletes, until before long, stepping off the point at all causes instant defeat.

I feel like the releases have been coming faster too. A lot of channels exploded due to these game compilations, so everyone wants some of the pie, and so they seem to be updating new ones every couple days. Rapida branched out into WTF, Fail, and Good Vs Bad videos in addtion to her compilations, so I am honestly surprised she gets enough videos to fill so many releases.

Also I am the worst Mercy ever because a Mei "never got heals", even though I was outhealing a Lucio while being chased all over the map. Maybe that ire should be directed towards not being a shitty Mei who blocks Roadhog ults.

Also, this person left before the PotG, in which I rezzed the team, then healed them for the rest of it. So sad.

Sounds like Symmetra's in the shop for a complete overhaul, ETA sometime in November.
"Too situational of a pick."
Seems we were just discussing this. What sort of changes could they make?
-Up total number of active turrets to 20, but increase cooldown time to 1min.
-Let her have 6 simultaneous teleporters but only one turret that insta-kills the next 6 enemies who get too close (i.e., sending them back to their spawn, sort of the inverse of the current setup).
-Let shields stack (6xSymmetra? Extra 125hp for everyone!)
-Make her turrets look like health packs. Surprise!

...ok, maybe I'm not being serious with these.

She really is the worst pick in the game. Any time your would pick her and other support or defense hero would be better.[DOUBLEPOST=1474912116,1474911890][/DOUBLEPOST]

I would like to see a refresh-able larger shield that decays. Maybe turrets that float with her or something to give her more damage at close range. I don't really like the hidden teleporter game but I don't know what I would replace her ult with.

Like the so-called "death ball?"

Ooo, or have her attach all 6 turrets to the ribs of a nano-boosted Reinhardt? He'd be a giant, armored spider of death.

I think Symmetra has quite enough damage at close range, really. My biggest beef is that her reach feels even shorter than Winston's plasma tingler.
(Just checked - Winston's range=8, Symmetra's range=5 CONFIRMED)
This sucks big time because she has to be standing right on top of the enemy to really hurt him, which means her weapon will hardly ever boost high enough to be a big threat before she gets killed due to only having 200HP. And oh, she is so slow and has no escape move.

As far as actual serious guesses go, I wonder if they'll take a page from Ana's playbook, and maybe give her turrets a short-range healing aura, or just make 'em outright shoot-n-heal allies? She'd finally become a healer (and a reasonably useful one, at that) without having to change any of her other abilities.
...except for that "no ult charge while teleporter is already placed" thing. That needs to change.

EDIT: Oh, hey...some of these are actually mentioned in Gas' video. Great minds, and all that.

My wife destroys people with Symmetra, but every Symmetra I've played with doesn't know what they're doing, so overall this is probably true.

She's gonna be pissed when I tell her they're changing stuff.

You play on console though. I'm sure not aiming helps more there. >.>

I had some recommendations I posted on the forums awhile back, guess I can post them here too.

Remove Shields. It was a great skill back at 50, but just lacks now.

In place of shields, put the "Teleporter", now renamed the Supplier. The main job of the supplier is to heal allies, either with an aura or a generated health pack. As Symmetra gets kills, the Supplier will gain teleporter charges up to a maximum of two.

Her ultimate will be Blockade. When she is being overrun she "Molten Cores" the Supplier, which causes it to sprout four of her turrets, gain a strong shield, and get 5 automatic teleporter charges to help try and turn the tide. Once the duration ends the enhancements dematerialize and the charges drop down to the normal maximum. When the Supplier is destroyed (which will be harder, since it will also have more health) a cooldown will start before a new one can be generated.

This will make Symmetra a better support / defense hybrid in my opinion.

My only thing about removing Symmetra's shields is that the whole "works for a company that specializes in hard light shielding" thing is kind of key to her story, so having her not be able to give people shields goes counter to that. She just needs a more effective method of shielding... maybe her turrets (which need a fucking HP buff or AOE protection or something) can start progressively topping people off within their LOS and range if they aren't actively shooting at the other team? Not a quick, full shield heal but one that takes a few seconds to get you back to a decent shield level. This would force fights at a closer range too: people would need to get within the turret range to keep the turrets from re-shielding people.

Her company specializes in hard light CONSTRUCTS, not specifically shielding. They design buildings and utilities out of hard light, which is how they built Utopaea and have been expanding into other areas. It just made sense that someone that uses hard light would have a shield system, but that does not mean it has to be used, for instance there is another character that uses the same technology, Lucio, who stole the tech when he was part of Rio's rebellion versus Vishkar, altering it to be affected by sound, which is what gives him his boosting abilities, and his only "shield" is when he ultimate, which radiates a hard light barrier that decays quickly.

I think to make Symmetra work, she needs to be focused more on her construction nature, building things over a map that are designed to control, deny, and boost people in a specific zone.

This would make her more of a defense hero. I would really like to see her brought around as a support.

She is already considered by many as more of a defense hero, my idea is to make her supplier be a constant healing station, which still keeps her as support. A heal will bring her more in line with supports then her existing shields, which are basically a easier, rechargable version of Torbjorns armor packs.
