I dress down; hopefully they are too, because we're going to a mellow place. But even if we're going to a slightly nicer place full of tiny skirts and platform heels, I don my jeans, sneakers, and a tank with a sweater. Not that I turn many heads at places like that, but I feel it helps to send the message that turning heads is not my goal.

What is a figure of speech you find yourself using very often?

Basically... I use basically a lot when trying to explain something to a group that doesn't have all the information memorized like I do.

Why do some people think that it's bad that I want a weak tropical storm to come in to the Houston/East Texas area?

I dunno, it will take that to break the heat wave/drought that we are facing.

Anyone from TX remember the summer on 1980? 40-60 days over 100 degrees... yeah, we will likely break that this year.

I remember that summer, I actually burned my hand on a car door handle that year. Dallas area had something like that again sometime around 2000, with no rain to boot.
