Random Video Game Crap

I'm surprised you didn't tag @Frank in that post.

Also I still miss the 1989 MechWarrior game. Those Warhammers, man. They'll ruin your day. But oh, so much fun to pilot.

Yeah, it wears out it's welcome very quickly. The missions are all samey. The story is garbo. The mech customization is non-existent. Glad I didn't buy it.

Also, if you have any friends join your game for co-op, they cannot alter their own loadouts. You have to do it for them. They can't even view their own configuration, just kinda stare at their mech in the bay and say "I think that looks like I have an AC-20..."

That was awesome, but does nothing to dispel my feelings that many streamers base their personalities on old Adam Sandler movies.

Have any of you ever woken up and thought to yourself, "Man, I wish I could play an indie farming simulator on my electric car. Not *in* my electric car. On it. As in I want my car to run an indie farming simulator game."

Well, soon you can.

You can, from what I understand, play Mario Kart on your Tesla 3.

I mean, using your Tesla 3 as the controller (and the vehicle in Park).

Tip for you AMD GPU types: Give the 19.12.2 update a miss. Go straight to 19.12.3. Lots of bug fixes for the new Adrenalin 2020 software.

Even though 19.12.2 is WHQL and 19.12.3 isn't?
Are these fixes ones that would still benefit people who haven't bought any recent games? Or are the fixes mainly for the newest titles?

Oh, they fixed the freezing issue with Enhanced Sync (not to be confused with FreeSync), that's good. I hadn't realized it was causing problems with games as well as Steam Big Picture Mode.
Yeah. My games would have frozen video, but it would still be running underneath and responding to inputs when Adrenalin was in Game Mode.

If you told me this morning that I'd end up unwittingly watching a video of Trump with a porn star, this is not what I would have expected:

I'm so glad this was a wholesome experience.

I miss being able to cheat in video games. I miss cheat codes and all the wacky shit they enabled. Is it one of the reasons I'm mainly a PC gamer? Maybe. I can always just pop out cheat engine and go to my hearts content.

Remember in the 360/PS3 gen when companies sold cheats as DLC? I know it still happens, just not as frequently as that trash. Well, maybe not, now they sell boosters and shit, which are basically garbo cheats.

To me, it llooks like Empyrion: Fury Road.

—Patrick
Well, more like Avorion: Fury Road, but it also gives me flashbacks to Auto Assault back in the day.

It's made by Gaijin, but at least none of the vehicles are identifiably Russian, so at least we won't have to contend with secret unbalanced buffs to certain cars based on nothing other than nationalism.

Since they're all constructed randomly or via blueprints rather than being prebuilt, they'd have to do something like this based on IP address or something. And that'd be easy enough to fake via VPN.

Well, they didn't give advantages to Russian PLAYERS in War Thunder, they just made Russian PLANES perform way above spec so they would be the dominant choice for players, instead of the splintered flaming piles of balsa wood they should have been.
