Would anyone be interested in trying out Valheim? It's a 1-10 player co-op PvE survival game set in a viking mythos. It has REALLY good reviews, and is blowing up. Comes from Coffee Stain, the same company that did Satisfactory, Deep Rock Galactic, and, uh, well, Goat Simulator.

@Dave & co just started playing that last week.
I hear his buddy almost got killed after he cut down a tree and then almost got squished as the log rolled downhill.

Is this a game that we'd all have to play together, or one where I could log in when people aren't around and do my own thing? I ask because I've been jonesing for a building game, but I'd want to be able to play when other normal people are probably busy.
Pigs can game. And will continue to game even when the reward mechanism that gives them food for completing levels is broken.

I'm reminded of what happened to that judge (I think it was a judge) who ruled that tickets issued by privately owned speed cameras could not be contested/dismissed. I can't find the link to the story, but shortly after issuing his ruling, a car very similar to the judge's own vehicle and with the judge's license number on the plate was caught zooming back and forth in front of those same cameras, even multiple times in the same day, almost like the driver was trying to be caught on camera. Needless to say, the judge was issued multiple citations by the private company. I don't know if he tried to contest any of them.

Having never played, I'm always curious about Nier: Automata - is there a reason for the skimpy outfit, or is it as gratuitous as it seems? I'm kind of at a place in my life where women's fantasy "armor" is distracting for the wrong reasons, i.e. "what the hell is she thinking going into battle like that?", and I suspect this might be the same thing.
From a story perspective, you could say it's because they are basically dolls. They have no real control of their lives, and a lot of the storyline is about figuring that out. From a meta perspective, Yoko Taro has outright said he just likes pretty girls in high heels and that's why, and I can kinda respect that.
The Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen/Soul Reaver series is mostly good.
BloodNet is an interesting rpg that's basically vampires meet Johnny Mnenomic.
Vampire the Masquarade: Redemption is very much a diablo style single player rpg that I think is better than average.
Nosferatu: The Wrath of Malach-i is an interesting first person shooter game where you play as someone trying to rescue their family members from a castle full of vampires. Doing so gets you better weapons, armor, and ammo.
Darkwatch is a wild west shooter for PS2 and Xbox where you play as and fight vampires.
I'd also recommend retrying Vampyr if it's been awhile? They did a new difficult that is more... story focused and less combat focused.

I told my godson that I will buy him any ps4 game he wants if he finished all megaman games for the nes.
It's not like I thought he will never do it. But it was more than five year ago.
An account I follow on Twitter said there were PS5s on Amazon, so I went over and added it to my cart. It was moved to "save for later", and then gone entirely, before I could buy it. The thing is, I'm not even planning on buying one, or at least not soon. For some reason I was just stepping through the process on autopilot and would have fully purchased it before questioning things like "Do I have $500 for this right now?".
