That the ball pit even has patches on the side is the icing on the cake.

I'm willing to bet the majority of their sales are console copies to people who never knew of any controversy or followed the marketing and probably got it as a birthday gift from their grandma. You know, filthy casuals and console peasants.
Fuck, Amazon's giving me $25 for it, I'll take it. But yeah, most console gamers are stuck with it.
I doubt it will be on the level of refunds for Arkham Knight.
That, or it was a rumor that ran rampant across gaming news sites, because when I made those replies it was everywhere.
