Just to clarify, that 'not terrorism' statement was before sunup that day. By 9 or 10am they were saying yes it is terrorism and handed the investigation over to the FBI. Once they did more investigation they said yes. But they were trying to tamp down on wild speculation that happened overnight.

9 times out of 10, that usually just means they haven't decided how to spin it yet. I promise you, if it had been a white guy with a MAGA flag, they wouldn't be treating it as terrorism. It's only terrorism when it's someone else.
