I disagree. I think it's a hiatus. Nobody says "Or-yo." It's Or-ee-oh.

A hiatus to me is something more like "coexist" where there is already a logical division. However, I'm certainly in no position to make any kind of official ruling. I'm a technician/musician, not a linquist/lexicologist.

Oreo is definitely three syllables, at least how I've pronounced it.

Anyone else think "swag" is a weird term? Not the "Stuff we all get" swag, but the shortening of the word swagger. Word is only two damn syllables, yet someone felt the need to shorten it. Its fun to say I'll admit, but it seems as though the shortening of words is a major theme when it comes to slag. Why shorten words? Is it to save time? Slow down dammit!
