Not my win, but epic for my youngest sister. Today is her birthday, and as the evening came to a close her boyfriend proposed! She's going to get married Dec 2012.

I had in epiphany at the shoe section at Walmart. My whole adult life I havent been able to find shoes that fit because I have tiny feet. So I was walking by the shoe section at at Walmart and I thought "why not try the little girls shoes?" jackpot! I found so many shoes that fit. I just bought one pair and they were only 8 bucks! I am so happy about it. I don't know why I didn't think of this before because I have worn little boy shoes before. I had a great pair of spiderman flipflops that were the envy of every little boy in my preschool class. Hehe.

So, back when my sister got pregnant years ago, my mom was about to get rid of her Honda Element. She gave it to my sister so she'd have more room for a family. When my brother started gigging, she and dad were about to get rid of their Honda Pilot, so they ended up letting him have it so his bass would fit. Last year, mom told me she felt bad that the timing was never right for me to have one of their newer old cars. I said that it wasn't something they should worry about... that they gave me one car and that's more than some get, and that I didn't expect anything like that from them. It was a practical gift for my sister and brother with their lifestyle changes, and my car suited my needs. No way would I ever complain that that wasn't "fair" after all they've given me, even if it did bother me!

Well... they went ahead and got me a newer used car. I'm so surprised and grateful! My current one had been worrying me, but I wasn't going to start looking at anything til I'd had a full time job for a year or so. We've got a cousin who sells, so they're getting a really good deal plus my trade-in. But man... they're so great. I'll feel proud when I buy my very first new car, but it's really great not having to worry about that for a bit longer. I feel pretty lucky today. :)

TL;DR SHINY, NEWER CAR!!! WOOO!

That's awesome. My Dad is like this. He keeps buying me cars when he thinks 'that car of yours is a heap'. I never know what osay when he does it.

Yay Focus! I had one... I now have none.

I resent any complaining about vehicles lol. I drive a 1995 Dodge Caravan and it is even crappier than that sounds.

Oh yeah.

They are nice cars, we currently have a Honda Fit, got it new and it's still going strong. We love it.
Our cousin always finds us really dependable ones too, with responsible owners. We've always had Hondas, and they've always lasted a long time. :)

You had better buy some light-up shoes to wear in court.

I would love to but if I could afford to mod my van.. I could afford a different van lol

that's right i like minivans! im not ashamed!

I really like her. It's nice to have spent so much time with her already and still not have really run out of things to talk about.

So I just spent a rather larger amount of money on tickets to a concert.... Who am I going to see? System of a down, Slipknot, Marylin Manson, Trivium, Meshuggah, Dragonforce, Limp Bizkit....Plus about 40 other bands that I'm kinda meh on. All this for less than 150 usd... I think that is an epic win!! Bring on March next year!!

Limp Bizkit is never an epic win. Never. Their presence negates the rest of the lineup. :p

In approximately two months, I'll be proposing to my girlfriend! Her parents visited us a couple weeks ago and I got their permission (which took some doing getting them alone), and we'll be heading back home to California for Christmas. There's a nice little town near the coast that sells amazing bread and artichoke dip, we're going to buy a loaf and spend the day near the ocean, and I know a little cove that's hidden from the road where we can have a bonfire.

Can't wait! :)
