The EPIC WIN Thread 3: SON OF EPIC

I’ve never heard of that but upon googling that looks pretty special. I’d love to go to one of those types of places at least once. Hope it lives up to the hype.
I've actually been to multiple 3-star restaurants with my dad (because that's the sort of thing he likes to spend his money on), but going to the Fat Duck is definitely one of my bucket list items. Heston is the kind of chef that really inspires me with the weird shit he does.

As a 59 year old dude with kids out of school for 10+ years I really don't follow high school sports. But my Facebook started blowing up today because the high school I went to won their first ever state title. Many of the players are from my home town of Minden which you remember was devastated by tornadoes this summer. The kids used that experience and bonding to get it done. Maybe I'm just being nostalgic, but I'm proud of my community even if a football championship really doesn't mean anything.

By the way, to see the support they have, in the 2020 census, Minden had 600 residents. The game was 3 hours away during a Thursday when people are working.

Yesterday my dads sodium level was just below normal. He was able to get out of bed and sit in a chair.

He has been dizzy for over a year and the VA couldn't figure out why despite his low sodium blood work. Yesterday was the first day he wasn't dizzy.

His O2 is still 95%. Up from 85 when was admitted. He might need oxygen indefinitely.

It appears he is on his way to being able to go home in a few days. Hopefully he can keep treated for this issue when they get home.

Anyway, great news. A nice thing to be thankful for.

And to think all it took was blowing away one CEO in broad daylight and the entire internet celebrating.

Hmm. Link won't expand. They are pulling back on their promise to limit payment on anesthesia based on surgery times.

You know, I'm not usually one to makes jokes about the dead. But when they're a heartless CEO, I'll make an exception.

What do you call a dead, heartless CEO?

A good start.

Sorry Cog, but the southerner came out to me in your post. I am happy you have an actual desk again, I hate that it’s taken so long to get that for you. In the backwaters of the southern US, drawers is a slang term for underwear and that’s exactly where my 12-year-old kids brain went for me. It’s just that kind of day.
