We're working on a translation case where we need to translate the speech of a guy in a video. The guy is not a native English speaker, and he has a heavy accent, but it's fine, we can understand him. Except due to his accent, every time he says the word "market", it sounds like "monkey".
"We're working very hard to get into this monkey."
"This monkey is too small, we are looking for a bigger monkey."
"Government regulation can cause a monkey to suffer or even die."
"Do not limit yourself to just one monkey, more monkey is better."
I can't do this case without giggling.

In college composition class, I once wrote a song with as many “-ation” words as I could. It was about a guy seduced by easy credit cards and was inspired by equal parts Gilbert & Sullivan and Poe’a “The Raven.”

Only one close contact per family, only one person allowed to visit at a time, all shops closed, all culture closed, all non-essential contact stopped, all entertainment closed, home working enforced for everyone, evening clock 22-06, no alcohol sold after 20h, Max 4 people together outside even distanced, funerals with 16, weddings with 4 (couple, officiant, one witness). We've finally stopped meeting around.
To be honest the lockdown will start on monday but it feels like we already in it. It's also only a soft lockdown or "lockdown light" but for all of november.
No enforced home working, most shops stays open but only 1 customer per 10 square meters, restaurants closed or they can do only take aways, all culture and entertainment closed, public or private partys are "unacceptable", schools and kindergartens stays open, no inner german tourism, beauty salons, massage and tattoo studios are closed but not hair salons and only people of two households, 10 people max are allowed to meet up.
I have 1 week vacation starting monday. Now I dont have to feel bad for doing nothing. I am a model german citizen.
Me too. Staying home the whole week doing nothing except getting through my backlog of unfinished games.
This was my plan. Turns out I'll be cuddling dogs instead, but I guess that counts as a win. Also, legal reason to be outside!

Whoever told the rescue this dog was potty trained was a big fat liar. I'm taking them for walks every two hours and he still goes inside. Mostly poo, too. He's a cement truck, 8 or something per day. Grumble.
