Drew Carey hosted The Late Late Show Monday as an April Fools prank, and had Joan Jett on. Reminded me of something...

Headcanon says @Amorous Eyes theme song is Joan Jett & the Blackhearts - Bad Reputation. Played LOUD. :D

Wait, Yahoo? Alec Guiness was predicting the death of Yahoo all the way back in 1976?
Apparently, google tells me Yahoo was a play he coauthored in 1976.

Here, I just thought it was a code word for star wars, like how Luke's Paternity was kept secret.

Yeah, it's pretty well known that Sir Alec hated Star Wars. And hated it even more when it ended up massively popular. And hated it with the heat of a thousand burning suns when people started coming up to him and asking him to quote Obi-Wan's lines.

I doubt he hated the massive paychecks it brought him.
I'm sure he at least got a little huffy when he spent any of the millions he made from the movie.

"I had to say 'Only a master of evil, Darth' to be able to buy this cup of coffee. This coffee is now tainted!"

Seriously; grumbling all the way to the bank. Suck it up, Guiness! At least projects like that afford you the luxury to do other, less profitable projects you like.
YEAH- you tell that ghost whose boss!

QUESTION- other than the premise of Batman Beyond what happens in 2039? Because from what I've read on Crunchyroll thats when they pull off a lot of their shows. What does Crunchyroll know that we DON'T?! THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME!

I don't know that he hated Star Wars, but Guinness certainly didn't like how fanatical people became. There's a famous story from his authorised biography in which, having encountered a young boy who'd seen Star Wars a hundred times, he said, "Can you do me a favour, and never see Star Wars again?" causing the child to burst into tears, and Guinness to be rebuked by the boy's mother.

HELL YES! I can not wait to be 48, for the chance of trolling all the youngsters into thinking it won't be resolved by then!! It will be hilarious.

ALSO- be wary of how much coffee grounds you put into a smoothie, you will feel really really REALLY dehydrated I thought I could withstand the pain, but until an hour ago was feeling akin to a mummy. LEARN FROM MY HUBRIS!

Of course I might have felt just a sugar crash as I put three fruits chocoloate chips and cinnamon sugar in there- EITHER WAY- don't use too much sugar and don't use too much coffee grounds. I HAVE SPOKANE!

The economic stability of Quebec collapses overnight and Canada becomes ridiculous, both Russia, China and Greenland invade prompting World War 4.

Going back to Alec Guinness for a moment, I imagine it's similar to almost everyone involved with Twilight. From what I've heard, EVERYONE involved hated every minute of it. Robert Patterson turned down the role several times until they offered so much money, he couldn't say no.

A friend of mine told me about an interview they heard or read about the director for one of the sequels, though. I'm paraphrasing here. The interviewer asked if he'd read the books. He said,

"Well, I read the first one."
"You...didn't read the book that you're adapting?"
"Look at it this way. If I had the choice between reading another one of those books or killing my mother, my mother would already be dead."

"Look at it this way. If I had the choice between reading another one of those books or killing my mother, my mother would already be dead."
That's a great line.

In defense of this practice, generally, though: I would say by the time a book's adapted for the screen, you may benefit from playing the character without having other perceptions of him/her bouncing around in the back of your mind. Not that actor's shouldn't read source material, either..

I guess I'm just babbling.

The Dean of the College of Graduate Studies & Research just walked in wearing a Star Trek officer's tunic.

I love where I work. :D

We have cable tv again. Meh. I'm not too thrilled about it, but when my parents visit in a few weeks it will be necessary. They like to watch the news after dinner and certain shows on the nights they are scheduled to air. Plus last year they had problems getting the hang of how to find programs on the XBox. At least it's not going to cost that much more per month thanks to bundling.

Back when I was purposely helping my brother in law look like the greatest guy in the world, when ever my in-laws would visit I would block the weather network just before leaving the house.

Panic and torment ensued.

On the totally random tip.

Man, has Brian Cranston had just the weirdest career path out of any celebrity out there. From Anime voice actor, to commercials, to comedy, to ground breaking drama, now movie stardom on the horizon. And yet, in every interview with him, seems like a guy that you'd just want to sit and have a beer with.

I'd think he would be more fun to be around on a night that started with beer, and at some point he just stands up and yells "BREAK OUT THE TEQUILA AND FROZEN JAEGER MACHINE!!!!"

So in a lot of the press coverage surrounding Jupiter Ascending, people are still using "Wachowski Brothers" despite Lana's announcement 2 years ago. Is this by the Wachowski's choice or lazy/biased reporting.
