Accompanied by the phrase "I need to use your credit card"Yes...that's a look of "joy" I am wearing.
Still one of the best theme songs, IMO.Spider-blah, Spider-blah,

Rejection in 3...2...Dear Dr drawn_inward,
Please note that a Nature Genetics manuscript tracking system account has been created for you. This is because you are listed as a co-author on the manuscript...
We recently had one that sat with a journal for 10 weeks and we were gnashing our teeth. I can't imagine 6 months! We had one that was accepted like 6 months ago, and it still hasn't been published. What's more, the editor won't return emails. This is a big journal in our field, too, not some fly-by-night publication. Weird.
Some journals are moving more toward grouping papers by theme per month. So your paper might fit better in the issue they plan on producing three months from now with other papers that are somewhat related more than normal for that journal. We had one that was accepted like 6 months ago, and it still hasn't been published. Which ones? I am ignorant of such imminent threats.Anybody else secretly cheer for natural disasters when they're (possibly) imminent? It's exciting.
I live in Florida. Those are not exciting for me at all, only annoying and mildly inconvenient.Any. It just came up here because there's a possibility that a tropical storm may develop right outside of Houston in the next few days.
The pun is strong with this one."lunatic" ... moon
I used to get excited about them when I was in NJ. Here in HI I am inconvenienced and a bit worried about them. It feels like it's been raining for almost the whole month of September.Any. "Wake me up when September ends"?I used to get excited about them when I was in NJ. Here in HI I am inconvenienced and a bit worried about them. It feels like it's been raining for almost the whole month of September.
Well, it was "just" a tropical storm because it's wind speed wasn't sufficient to make it a hurricane. It was still a massive low pressure system with lots of water to drop. The effect of a tropical storm can be either mild or devastating though. I mean TX is no stranger to tropical weather. But, then you can get something like Allison, which is "just" rated as a tropical storm, but manages to drop tons of rain in all the wrong places.
Maybe November...or next year since they're predicting the strong El Nino will give us off-season storms. (Sorry for the lock rating. I must have accidentally hit it instead of reply.)"Wake me up when September ends"?
Those pics got posted sometime in the middle of August.Your luggage locks are now worthless.
