That moment when you go to the craft store to buy fabric to make things for your cousin's baby shower, then also walk out with fabric for your niece for no real reason >.>

As per @Dave's request: I got threatened by an SNL writer today.

I work for a fitness company. And I deal with the money side of things - recently I've been 'gifted' the job of issuing credits. Now. I don't deal with customers, THANK GOD. HOWEVER. Today. Somehow. A writer for SNL got my extension and threatened to write a skit blasting myself and the company I work for if I didn't give him proof that his credit had been issued. Which isn't how credits work, but okay, cool. I tried to explain that I don't have a receipt since that's not..how this works. But he wouldn't get off the phone until I gave him proof. It was wild.

So. He was rude. Which I get, but still. I gave him the extension of the person who could actually help him - he can have his 'receipt' when the batch closes tonight and I don't have access to that. Anyway. That's all. I hope I meet him someday so I can tell him he's an asshole. :)

King one space from corner. Knight moves to place king in check, protected by the queen.

King moves into corner to exit check (a mistake).

Queen moves to final rank directly above knight, check and mate.

This confuses me now that I realize the piece in hand is not a king.

Every week, I put in a 30 minute gospel show for one of our stations, called "Refuge Temple Ministries."

Every week, I have to hit backspace a whole lot when filling out the metadata on the file, because I always type "refuse" instead of "refuge."

I don't think they would appreciate being called a refuse temple.

Ah, I was about to explain the check mate, but the king would have been in check already. STALEMATE!

edit: unless the Queen was stopping on that square, then it would be a checkmate...
I made the same assertion, but then I realized the white piece is the queen, not the king.
One of my few deleted posts.

I meant the white piece people were mistaking for a king. I would assume the black king was home.

Right. Kings don't usually start wandering the board until a lot of the other material has been removed.

Obviously you have not watched Code Geass.

Explanation: There is a scene in Code Geass that involves a series of stupid moves that culminates in an illegal move with an incorrect calling of check, where both players just move their kings toward each other as if playing a turn-based game of chicken.
