It's probably for the best that we do that.

As a side note, my therapist recommended I not use the language of violence so often when talking about my anger over....everything. I laughed. My former profession will ensure I think of everything in the language of violence.

Anger is one of the prime motivators for ADHD people.
Sometimes holding focus requires a hefty fury.

Anger is one of the few things I don't feel. I very, very rarely ever feel angry.

I feel deeply disappointed. I feel sad, a deep plummeting sadness that comes from being aware of how far over the edge we are, and a feeling that all that's left to do is glimpse what remaining beauty there is before the rapidly approaching bottom greets us. But not anger.

Today it feels like inside that I have given up to Khorne I'm so furious. Rage at how easily all of this could have been avoided.

Man, if given the opportunity, I would take a lot of skulls for the throne and Khorne would bless me because he cares not from whomst the blood flows.

So edgelordy, ha ha ha. I am really angry and it is overwhelming though.

Every time I see someone under 30 smoking an actual physical paper-and-leaf cigarette, it just blows my mind. I mean, I understand kids vaping, it's new and hip and whatnot... but how much of a dumb fucking shit do you gotta be to still be sticking proven, 100% avoidable cancer directly between your lips and cultivating a habit when you've basically been inculcated since birth to know that cigarettes are the most expensive and slowest way to commit suicide?

To be fair, I used to have the same thoughts about my peers. It's not like we weren't told from pre-school/kindergarten.

It's even weirder seeing doctors and nurses do it.

I can't afford to smoke by any stretch of the imagination, but if I could "oh no, I might miss out on the hellscape of a future we're staring down" wouldn't be a very compelling argument to skip out on something that might make life more enjoyable now.

As the girls say in Lord of War, I guess... why worry about something that might kill you in decades, when there are so many things to kill you tomorrow, eh?

My thing about smoking is less that it is bad for you (I eat red meat, and drink alcohol) it’s just that it doesn’t seem particularly enjoyable to start with. You have to work through it to get addicted and for what?

I consider myself to be pretty lucky. Through no real fault of my own, over the last near-decade, I've managed to sneak right through many a metaphorical door as it was slamming.

I bailed from the radio station when the writing was on the wall, right as my current position became open for the briefest window, and got my current job much thanks to my best friend's recommendation. A scant 3 years later, he left the company, leaving me to take up his place. Meanwhile the radio station has spiraled ever downward.

I was able to get this house I live in RIGHT as housing prices were starting to hockeystick upwards.

I bought an electric vehicle right at the sweet spot when tax incentives, dealer incentives, and factory incentives were at their maximum, 2 years before Trump slammed the door on EVs.

And this past year, I installed a solar energy system on my house, taking advantage again of the tax incentives that are now going away, along with tariffs that will double dip on making solar panels even more expensive.

I sure hope my luck doesn't run out, because they're starting to feel less like good fortune and more like near-misses.

I love pissing off other texans by telling them my solar powered car can out-accelerate their single digit mpg coal-roller.

Seriously though, it was a major investment, but it does save me a little more per month on electricity than the monthly payment on it, plus now I can keep my A/C on in the summer when the Texas power grid collapses from inane oligarchical bullshit.

Apparently my GF sat next to Erykah Badu on the plane ride back tonight, and the two of them really had a nice time chatting. She says Erykah is "really down to earth."

I'm mildly surprised that I recognize this video. This was an event to promote agriculture in Taitung County in Taiwan in 2016. They're promoting sugar apples, which actually aren't apples at all, they're a tropical fruit with a soft interior.

Quite sweet and tasty, I like them.

The fruits, I mean.
Like a custard apple? Tastes like vanilla pudding ? I had some in India. Super yummy.
