Guys, Canadian Beavers were introduced into Argentina in 1940's to build a fur trade and are threatening entire towns with the flood plains created by their dams. With no natural predators they are growing over 2m and stripping forests bare to build their dams. They do millions of dollars in damage each year.
Seriously.

I'm from Calgary... it's a complete disaster here.
Thousands of people forced from their homes, roads and bridges destroyed all over, our saddledome is a total loss, the Stampede grounds are ruined and the downtown core has been completely paralyzed by flooding. I couldn't get to work on Friday and they don't expect us to be able to return to the downtown core until MINIMUM Wednesday.
I've lived here all my life and never seen anything like this here.
The worst part is most people will not get any insurance coverage as insurance doesn't cover "overland flooding". Fricking brutal.
People talk to municipalities who talk to the province who talk to the feds. Remember that, as it always seems that people who don't get their money scream bloody murder at the feds, instead of the right people. My town of Halifax screamed and screamed and screamed at the feds over money due them for Hurricane Juan. The feds just rolled their eyes and when the province finally filled out their paperwork, everyone got their money almost instantly.from todays globe and mail said:Citizenship and Immigration Minister Jason Kenney, who represents Calgary Southeast, said municipalities affected by the flood will assess the damage and send list of needs to the province. The province will then refine those lists and send them on to the federal government. “It will obviously be a substantial bill and we will be there to help,” he told CTV.
