I know it sounds trite to say so, but today's XKCD really hit home for me.

I can't lay on the ground and look at the sky and think about what's up there, because my enlarged perspective always incorporates the fact that up and down are meaningless in the context of extraplanetary matters, and I have a panic attack as suddenly my brain tells me that, by all rights, since the earth is spinning at 1000 mph, I should be flung out into that yawning blue abyss at any moment, to tumble forever, screaming, until I asphyxiate.

man, wtf is going on in Gunnerkrig. I REALLY want some explaining in this one. Also what ever happened to Reynardine?

Fuck yeah. Remember when-
Rachel burned to death? Its an odd feeling since she was a major character once before but over time Tessa and Rachel just became bitches. And seeing her burn...kinda satisfying.

I especially love how Shelley turned from a normal lawyer character to the silly funny character we've grown to love. Also that part where she got her revenge on Rachel...fuckin' sweet.

Edit:

Also I see your a Wonderella fan. That comic always brings a smile to my face.

I'm liking this comic called the "Black Mudpuppy." Its about the ancient Aztec god Xolotl was banished to a life as a axootl for all eternity. But after 800 years Quetzalcoatl gives him the chance to make up for his past deeds by doing good deeds and becoming a super hero. It...doesn't always end well. Pretty good so far I'll say that!

That he actually started doing some character development (especially with the devil girls) actually got me halfway interested in it again, for the first time in years.

I tried reading it some time ago and couldn't get into it, primarily due to the lack of character development, but also because I didn't find it very humorous. Funny, yes, but tiringly so - I couldn't go through the archive for more than a few minutes without getting bored.

Is there a particular portion that I should check out that might be better?
Honestly I couldn't pin it down for you, but it seems to be winding back down again now. Not all the development has been well done either - if you ask me, the whole "Monique going tomboy" development arc fell completely flat, no pun intended.

The artist does tend to get more than a little heavyhanded when it comes to political messages...

As for Slick, a lot of his attraction was him and Monique bouncing off each other. Now that she's not interested anymore, Slick is basically left to play with himself. No pun intended. You perv. The whole alternate devil Slick... I admit, I'm not a fan of this.

Yeah I don't care for the Devil Slick either. I mean Slick all-ready had to deal with his dark side and lust before, why the need to anthropomorphise it now? Also the little feminist characters were funny at first, but now the joke is getting kind-of stale. Course I may just find it stale cos I'm a little annoyed that they get more comic time than the main character.

The drawback of being a fan of webcomics where the authors are based on the east coast: No updates when a hurricane hits. :/
