What are you listening to II: Electric Bogaloo

I may need to rethink my stance on Glitch Mob.
Yeah, caught that off Reddit, played it, and thought: "Sounds like Glitch Mob, all right. And that's a good thing."
Only just discovered the Drink the Sea album (and the group in general) just last year, but already planning on giving the album to someone as a gift.

Also discovered this about 2 months ago, been playing it at least a few times a week.

Wow my old thread is still kind of alive, neat.

Anyway, this grabbed my ear and I can't stop listening. Those shamisens are going ballistic in the background.

Once upon a time, stereo was looked upon as a mere "gimmick".
Don't forget the albums that were top/bottom instead of left/right, so to properly get the auditory image, you had to stack your speakers on top of one another.
Only one I remember like this was a "zwish," which they explained was a dry cleaning plastic bag knotted vertically, hung over an aluminum pie tin, and then set on fire from the bottom.

I've been mainlining the soundtrack to Velvet Goldmine lately. They did a really good job of emulating the David Bowie/Iggy Pop glam rock era of music, while at the same time having some of the heavy hitters from that era, such as Lou Reed, Brian Eno, and T-Rex.

Been holding onto this one for a year and a half. Finally played it tonight. Figured I can't do any more damage than the schoolgirl previous owner did way back when.

Just installed the Jico SAS stylus to the Shure M97xE cartridge like everyone on the audio forums I frequent said I should.

The result with this album... oh, MAMA! :D
