I've been using "siren" and "octal" a lot lately, which hasn't honestly been as handy as I thought it would be. My go-to starter word used to be "super," and I might start going back to that as my default.
With this one, I was trying to eliminate as many possibilities without reusing too many words. Or at least eliminate as many vowels as possible. As you can see, it really didn't help. I wound up relying on WordHippo, scanning through "5 letter words containing "ach" (in any combination) and eventually fell upon "whack."

Well, except I always use Siren instead of Risen.

After getting "per," I first tried and failed to think of any words starting with "pre." When I couldn't think of anything, I switched to "per" as the first three letters and then thought of "perky." Didn't think it would work!
