[PC Game] World of Warcraft: Catch All Thread

Orc and Troll are two of the races I think got the best updates. Some have been hit or miss but I have been nothing but happy with those two races.
The only thing I am not happy about is the male troll animation jump, the landing doesn't seem to be as fluid as it used to be, but it is only a minor complaint. My trolls look super nice now.

Kill meeee.... KIIILLLLL MEEEEEE

[DOUBLEPOST=1413318990,1413318513][/DOUBLEPOST]This poor guy has been lost in time since Burning Crusade... and it shows.

So, reading the patch notes, is PVP and Darkmoon Fair now the only way to purchase heirlooms?
Seems like it. Super lame. Actually, I've been levelling a priest the last couple weeks.

You know what isn't fun logging today. Playing him. Every mob takes 4 times longer to kill.

I don't know if this was the intention, but Outlands is even more unbearable than it used to be. The dungeons are NOT scaled right. So far, I've had a tank one shot on the first pull. That's fun, it's like we're back to the beginning of BC.

I actually like that they're moving away from the fast food style of play. Healers are actually going to have to pay attention now instead of just spamming instant casts.

On the one hand, this will make healers more interesting to play.

On the other, most pubs can barely heal as it is.

Which do you think it going to be a bigger issue for the community?

Well, I was the healer. When the tank went from 100-0 in one bloody hit, despite being completely BoA tank geared there wasn't much I could do.

Yeah... No. You know what I do on my healer right now? Spam and stress out because my heals blow. And my mana doesn't move. I'm pretty sure as I level it's going to feel like Cata healing all over again, which also blew until I was raid geared, which I really won't be this time around. Blizzard has a terrible time finding a good place to put gearing up healers.

Also, they dropped the ball really bad on lower level tuning for sure.

Yeah, mobs, in dungeons, do insane amounts of damage. Meanwhile, my heals only heal the smallest percentage of health. All I read are people shitting on anyone complaining about the "new difficulty". I'm taking a shot in the dark and guessing they are all DPS.

Something is really wrong with lower level enemy damage and player healing, yeah. A friend of mine just re-subbed and his 75 bear tank is getting demolished. This guy was my raid MT for three xpacs and is one of the best Druids I've ever played the game with.

This is the problem with the PTR. No one goes onto it thinking "Holy shit I need to level to test the leveling process" and then Blizzard doesn't do shit to test it themselves, so once the squish happens the players get tuned down to shit and the monsters don't get tuned on the same curve, because they tune everything assuming you will be 90-100.

At least it's so noticeable now I bet a fix will be coming by next week.

I think lower level stuff is tuned assumng you're wearing a full set of BoA gear. I like lower level stuff and leveling, and so I don't have any heirlooms. I was going to buy some when I decided what I wanted my next alt to be, but it appears now I can't since they removed justice/valor points. So leveling a brand new tauren shaman, wearing the gear that's available in the game, I can't kill goddamn anything. At level 11, it took TEN castings of lightning bolt to kill a level 7 wolf. And I was down to 25% health by the time it died.

Also, it seems they nerfed lightning bolt, in that shaman can no longer move while casting it.

It's not just PTR, it should have been caught in alpha/beta as well.
But again, everyone in alpha/beta is either playing a transferred level 90, or a pre-made 100. No one is going to level through the old sub-90 content because they don't give a shit. Thus this crap happens.

I don't think BoAs are helping in dungeons. They seem to be undoable, or close enough to.

They say they have a hotfix they're testing that will be implemented in the next day or two regarding the balance issues.

MAN, you'd think this would have been tested before going live.

It was, like I said, but focused on the 90-100 dynamic. No one on Beta, Alpha, or PTR was going to make a new character or transfer a sub-90 because they only care about testing the end game. Blizzard dropped the ball huge by not either doing the testing themselves by having game testers start new characters at each ten level interval to check tuning, or to incentive leveling new characters to test by removing pre-made 100s and character copying.

Or I could have it wrong and for whatever reason Blizzard DID test it, and all the developers that for some reason have "OMG HARDCORE OMG DIFFICULTY PANTSCREAM!" just orgasmed and told them to leave it while forgetting the majority of people in the game don't want that shit anymore.

Potatofamine#1633

I'm hoping to slam out old raids in Heroic mode with a few folks, so add me! Gonna swap a 90 to Ally side sometime this week, so let me know if you want to destroy some old content or do the new UBRS.

So, I jumped on my 72 druid, and BOY, do I see what you guys were talking about. Tanks going down faster than a whore making a fifty.
